    Yes

They have 4 games left at most

You wanna make $$$ so today you lay 60k on the chalk, in elite 8 you'd lay 60k on the chalk, final 4 you'd lay 60k, etc you win 10k if they win it all, you'd wind 30k or so if they lose...you can't lose here

No. Hedging crushes your own odds. If you can't take the sweat of a longshot then don't make the bet in the first place.

Beyond that, it's especially counterproductive to hedge the bet now when Loyola is a 3: 1 favorite to advance to the next round. At least wait until they're a dog or smaller favorite to do it.

I'd just bet enough to win my original bet back and martingale until the championship. Wouldn't consider a larger hedge until then.

Seriously? For 50 bucks? At that amount, I'd rather just say I let it ride.

I would bet somewhere in the neighborhood of 10k on Oregon St. If Oregon St. wins you get 25k. If they lose you have a ticket worth somewhere in the 40k range.
Never let such a great future bet go to waste.

Hate to jinx it but totally forgot about the propswap angle. Based on my rather tenuous job situation, I wouldn't be opposed to selling these for 40 cents on the dollar ($92.2K) on April 6 if that's still an option.

Never understood the philosophy of letting a $50.00 ride??? The point is trying to make a return on the initial wager... Yes... you start hedging.

Why not? You get your bet back if they lose and if they win you’re not out much, preserve your bank when you have a chance.
