SPECIAL RULES FOR EXHIBITION BASEBALL
For any exhibition MLB games played prior to the regular season, the following rules apply:
- Games must go 5 innings (or 4½ if the home team is leading) to count as an official game.
- After the 5th inning, if an inning is not played to completion then the score will revert back to the previously completed inning unless the home team has the lead.
These rules apply ONLY to exhibition games. For games played in the regular reason, the rules below still apply.
