I don't really have a favorite NCAA football team (I'm a U Conn homer) I root for Alabama because my wife is a long time Tide fan so I pretty much watch all the games level headed with an open mind.
I've seen Miami and OK State play twice, three times this season.
Just going on the 'eye test' and before I get into my nerdy, geeky analytics I think OK State is the better team based on what I have seen.
Miami has not done anything for me since starting off 3 and 0.
I really think they started believing all that hype back then.
What have the Hurricanes really showed in the past 2 1/2 months except blow out the Dookies?
I saw that TCU game where the Cowboys got beat on that long TD pass play, that was disappointing, and I turned off that OU blow out game because it just wasn't that interesting and I really thought Okie State was going to give them a better game.
Who saw the Texas game?
I did. You can't tell me State didn't get robbed by some of those late calls.
All in all I think they are a good three loss team and better than Miami.
(Based on the old 'eye test')
Just got done with me geeky analytic numbers with the help of Sagarin's databases.
Okie State according to most metrics had the tougher schedule all the other numbers are pretty much no big difference,
Okie State has been running the ball well lately without Hubbard which surprises me some, I was just reading where Miami's D-Ends are going to miss this game due to declaring pro,
I really think Sanders can torch Miami.
Sagarin (my go to college football geek) has Ok. State 4.5 better in this game.
And since he knows more than me and I also think he's right here, why not.
54 dollars (-108 Heritage) to win 50
Oklahoma State -1
