the play imo when the yanks or any team you like is down big quickly is to take the spread covering the early hole like taking the yankees +5.5 when losing 5-0 early for around -110. Originally Posted by Al Masters

You are betting in accordance to what happened in the 1st inning hoping over the next 8 innings things tighten up a bit for a win..that is not at all like thinking + 300 on the yanks is of value because pre game they were -200...the score at that
exact moment dictates the proper line.

You're gonna seriously compare Mertens dropping the 1st set as a pre match -1100 favorite to the Yankees giving up 5 runs in the 1st inning? Obviously the Yankees can come back but there are a lot more variables involved whereas if Mertens simply plays to her level against a random ITF player like Kalinina she will come from a set down at least 70% of the time.
