Seriously man. How the hell doesn’t this guy do everything in his power to start Game 7 tonight??

Even if it jeopardizes the rest of his career he should be out there.

I think he push his start back to game 4 to avoid pitching in 2 games in series

Great regular season pitcher, not so great playoff pitcher.

The worst ERA is MLB post season history (min 75 IP's)

This was written a year ago, now it's worse.

I'm sure Kershaw will see this game, and so he might as well have started.

It dont make sense Kershaw could have pitched 4 clean innings from the start, it wss his best chance to play a part in game 7

35 career playoff games he's pitched in.
Most of them, not very good.

28 career starts in those 35 post season games.
In 28 career starts he's given up four or more EARNED RUNS at least 11 times.

These are just his 28 playoff game STARTS only.

I just analyzed all of his 28 playoff starts.

The mystery is all those HR's allowed, it has to be from tired arm syndrome or something like that.
The dude gives up 24 gopher balls in 169 IP's (which is 1.28 HR per 9 IP)
    He's only given up 188 HR's in his career (2333 IP's) which is 0.70 HR's per 9 IP

That's what we call an anomaly.
    That's insane.

    That's close to double.
    Really insane difference HR ratio.

Could it be that he;s facing better batters in the post season more frequently than the regular season?

That and he's pitching to quality hitters with a tired burnt out arm.

Do you know who this dude is?
He should be in the Hall of Fame.
The dude was one of the best post season starter ever.

    44 career playoff starts.

We could see him in 8th or 9th inning.

Andy Pettitte was the man in post season.
    19 and 11 in 44 starts.
    That's crazy good.

DDD, sure but so are all the other post-season pitchers. No excuse for his numbers to be that bad.

Kershaw needs to start juicing is only thing I’m taking away from this

It's a fact Pettitte was prescribed steroids while recovering from an injury.
While it's true Pettitte was using steroids, he was not using them to enhance performance but to recover from a surgery.
Most MLB insiders realize why Andy Pettitte was using steroids, and it wasn't to cheat.
    Nevertheless he used them.

I'd take Curt Schilling, Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson, or Roy Holladay over Andy Pettitte.

Urias was clutch tonight. I'm glad neither Kershaw nor Jansen went in the game. Either of those two would've blown the game.
