Football Team | OC preaches patience with Antonio Gibson
Washington Football Team Antonio Gibson's role will 'continue to grow,' according to offensive coordinator Scott Turner.'He's a young player. ... As a rookie, you don't want to overwork those guys up with them in two much of the situation early. I think his role will continue to grow. ... The way the snaps went, with Peyton (Barber) we finished the game in a four-minute situation where we basically ran the ball to use the clock at the end. That's why (Barber's) snap count was so high,' Turner said.
Footballguys view: Gibson isn't a safe play at Arizona this week, but definitely don't drop him in redraft leagues. Steelers | James Conner, Benny Snell to split carries
Pittsburgh Steelers RBs James Conner and Benny Snell will reportedly split carries during Week 2's game against the Denver Broncos.

49ers | George Kittle could return during Week 3
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (knee) could return to action for Week 3's game against the New York Giants, according to a league source.

Los Angeles Chargers RB Justin Jackson (quadriceps) is not expected to play in Week 2's game versus the Kansas City Chiefs, according to a source.

Patriots | Julian Edelman expected to play
New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee) is expected to play in Week 2's game against the Seattle Seahawks, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Edelman is banged up but should get a ton of targets against Seattle. He will be a player we have monitor week to week with his injury history and the nature of being on the injury report this early in the season.

Lions | Kenny Golladay could return in Week 3
Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) is 'really close' to returning to action, according to head coach Matt Patricia, even though he has not practiced since sustaining a hamstring injury Sept. 9. He has already been ruled out for Week 2's game against the Green Bay Packers.
Footballguys view: Golladay might have been reconditioning this week to prepare for a return against Arizona next week and the Lions did not put him on injured reserve, which would have only been a minimum three week absence. He's still far from a sure thing to play next week.

He looked really good, especially given that he was told he was starting just minutes before the game.

In my opinion, he looked better than Burrow has. He made a couple of mistakes, but he just has the look of a strong NFL QB. I don’t know how they go back to Tyrod.

He looked a lot better than i thought he would, he has all the physical tools and is strong and surprisingly athletic..reminds me of Josh Allen a bit in that regard. Did you see the play where the KC defender seemingly lit him up on the sideline? Herbert popped right up and the defender took the worst of it.

So many injuries in week 2, a fluke or a lack of a full camp and preseason caused this?

Happened a lot when Rapistberger was younger and Tebow would take hard hits, but the defender was the one who came up hurt. Bart Scott was never the same after he put a hard hit on Tebow.
