    First time moving out, back in 2000. 3br/2ba: rent was $1200/mo. We all paid $200, because there was two people in each room. Next year was similar: 2br/1ba: $800/mo, and I paid $200 a month.
    Average apartments; nothing exceptional and nothing horrible. The city has always been a little pricier than average.
