I’m a 5dimes customer from central NY, now with this news I’ll have to make a switch.

What is wrong with the casinos in the state, or New Jersey? I only bet MMA and wouldn’t like too many wager limits. Is there something I’m supposed to be waiting on that will make things better than the books at the casinos and NJ?

Yes, I am near Turning Stone/Point Place, I also heard there’s draftkings and fanduel at other casinos here like del Lago.

Isn’t Jersey relatively close to you if you wanted to place a significant bet?

5D has sucked for many years. No bonuses. Take your $ in seconds, but you need a pile of documentation to get a withdrawal. Example....I had utility bills and everything, but they wouldn't let me withdrawal because the address was different then my drivers license. THATS BECAUSE I MOVED YOU FKN 3RD WORLD CHEATS. To be fair they are telling him he has the choice to make himself.

He can cancel the bet now.

Or he can let it play out and once the market is settled ask the administrator for his winnings.

They are not forcing one or the other.

Can you also ask 5D why we can't transfer funds (and wagers) to sister Betanysports as was initially allowed? This would be the best fix for nearly all involved. Thank you in advance.

BetAnySports uses the same software, but has independent ownership and is not a "sister" as you're taking it to mean. Remember BetAnySports migrated from another book's platform 12 years ago and mostly focused on Asia. At that time we understood they'd have their backing, but that's not the case. We've spoken to BAS ownership on its plans and will have more coverage on them soon.

As for 5Dimes, they are pulling out of the US market and will only facilitate withdrawals. The alternative was to put everyone into a claims administrator where payment could take who knows how long, which surely isn't preferred. They intend to pursue the US market in the future, as their statement alluded to. That is why it needs to be a full, and unfortunately abrupt withdrawal. It's important that you take your funds out prior to that 9/25 deadline.

I think a lot of people are overreacting. I would be very surprised if anyone got stiffed. I would bet everyone is getting their money.

We've been assured everyone will be paid in full. 5Dimes has always honored their obligations to players so no reason to think that will change now especially as the US is a market they want to re-enter. And remember they are still open in other jurisdictions where they are able to be. Let us know if any issues. You should not have unusual delays.

5dimes is freerolling us in NbA futures market. They said if bet loses between now and september 21st, it stays a loss. If its not settled by september 21st, its a refund. So they are 100% freerolling us. Am i understanding this right?? Im furious

In hindsight this shouldn't be that big of a surprise. For years they have been skimming on all BTC deposits. So why not free roll their loyal customers on the way out and gouge them on fees as well (assuming they pay)? Great business model. During the July 4th weekend they announced the 3% fee to Non BTC exclusive clients, the ones that dare not participate in their BTC skimming operation. That was the signal to get out and I missed it. What Book, let alone an A+ rated one, would have the gall to charge for BTC withdrawals that are free everywhere else? And now Labor Day weekend they let the axe fall to all of us. 5 Dimes demands loyalty from its clients but doesn't extend the same to them. Bad from a business standpoint, but seems to work in politics.

Im not making this up. Ive spoken to 3 different people online, and Ive gotten the same answer each time. Its absolutely criminal, but it doesnt look like anything can be done. Im done with offshore

Same for me: (1) no wagers refunded yet; first requested yesterday morning. (2) due to the limits on checks and wires of 1 per week ($3000 and $9500), its gonna be impossible to withdraw my funds by Sep 25 unless I learn how to do Bitcoin. I guess I have to do that, but if 5Dimes wants us to withdraw our funds by Sep 25, why isn't it possible to simply get a wire for a larger amount, or more than 1 wire per week?

I requested one Monday night and after emailing info@5dimes.eu about the large sum I needed to withdraw they gave me instructions on how to do it to their liking. The first one (Monday night) is still UNDER REVIEW and rest are "requested." Once we get over the first one I'm hopeful the others fall into place quickly. It was 48 hours during normal time so I'm not expecting anything until tomorrow morning.

How are they going to have the staff to make the security call etc? Or is it just going to be bypassed?

for those asking about payouts. 5dimes is the hardest book i use to extract funds from... Heres my tips for BTC

1. Save the BTC Address you use to request, and the exact amount you requested
2. they require phone call verification. After you submit it, call in and say you want todo the phone verification. Otherwise you may miss the call from them and have to start over
3. Wait on email, takes 2-3 days usually, you have to reply with btc code and amount and your account number and pin. if you don't include all those they will simply CANCEL the payout

This was before they announced they were moving out of US and it was a pain. Hopefully, they make it easier, but be sure to do those steps so you don't have to restart

I think the assumption was that the only people who would transfer to BAS were people with "equity" in their futures. From their perspective BAS wouldn't want to take on only accounts that they were a lock to lose money on. This is just my guess but I know I wouldn't want to take in only accounts that requested it. Also, it's possible the optics are bad to have accounts from 5d transfered to a site that looks like 5d for the regulators if what they are saying is true. I'm not surprised by the decision to stop allowing it. It needed to be all or nothing on accounts being transfered and it doesn't look like "exiting the market" if you just transfer everyone to a "sister" site.

i could drive and place a bet on theNJ side of the Staten Island border and use an app on my phone. Friends of mine have done that. I avoid out of laziness really. AC is about 2.5 hours away from me. I try to avoid there unless I am $$$ prepared to gamble in the casino too.
