    Sloane Stephens is in a really good spot today

    She’s been an epic disaster the last two years rarely making it to round two but today there’s no pressure on her and all the pressure is on Serena Williams this is where the woman is dangerous take the +180 if you can get it

    actually not the worst JJ take. Some facts here

    Serena "choke job" is typically in the grand slam finals as she has lost 3/4 finals. So this is still early round for a choke.

    Sloane typically sucks round 1-2 but if she advances, she gets better as the tourney goes on. Sloane has beaten Serena at US open before on the way to winning her Grand Slam

    This is a tough pre match call honestly, wait for something live

    Sloane is a total trap play at that price or any price actually . Don't be fooled by her looking good beating 2 chicks outside the top 120. She's still the same lazy, unmotivated, out of shape slob who's 5-14 since Wimbledon prior to the US Open. Serena brutalizes chicks she hates (Maria S. 20-2 & 5-1 vs. Sloane with only L being when she was injured against her at 2013 AO). Actually your best play would be to stick Serena in a bunch of parlays at -210.

    My response had everything to do with Serena. She is over the hill and motherhood has not helped her tennis game. Stephens has the athleticism and game to take her out if she is on.

    And predictably Serena loses the first set and is getting outplayed. Regardless of how this ends up, laying -210 with a 39 year old(will be in 3 weeks) that is overweight and doesn't move well since she gave birth is an awful bet. Stephens is younger, moves better, plays better defense and has beaten Serena in big matches before. You are a complete square.

    Pretty sure squares don't risk 2K on a team down 0-3 at +950 but keep telling yourself SS was the right side at +175 after she loses in 3 sets.
