    Jaguars | Leonard Fournette released
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette was waived Monday, Aug. 31. Head coach Doug Marrone said this was strictly a performance-based decision, and he wasn't a problem in the locker room.

Cowboys | Ventell Bryant not seriously hurt
Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys WR Ventell Bryant (leg) suffered an apparent left leg injury during the team's scrimmage Sunday, Aug. 30. However, head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters afterward that none of the injuries suffered during the scrimmage Sunday were of 'major concern.'

Cardinals | Andy Isabella eyeing bigger role?
Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella is a player that head coach Kliff Kingsbury has identified as someone he wants to use more often in 2020.'I have to do a better job of expanding his role and finding ways to get him on the field and get him utilized,' Kingsbury told reporters Sunday, Aug. 30.

Eagles | John Hightower making an impression
Philadelphia Eagles WR John Hightower has 'done well all camp' and is a strong candidate to move up the depth chart after the team learned it would be without WR Jalen Reagor for approximately four weeks Sunday, Aug. 30, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
    Link to story

49ers | Jimmy Garoppolo feeling more comfortable
San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo has been more decisive in training camp this summer and shown a quickness mentally and physically that wasn't always there previously, according to Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area.'When I say decisive, I mean just decisive when that ball is in his hands and out on his back foot. When he hits his back foot in his drop it's a thing of beauty and you're seeing more and more of it throughout camp,' 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh said.

Cardinals | Kenyan Drake not on field
Arizona Cardinals RB Kenyan Drake (undisclosed) is not participating in practice Sunday, Aug. 30.

Buccaneers | Ronald Jones back on field
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones (foot) participated in practice Sunday, Aug. 30.
Footballguys view: This is a good sign that the injury truly was minor. Jones will start the year as the Bucs #1 back and have a chance to hit his fantasy ceiling if he plays well, especially in the passing game.

Titans | A.J. Brown misses practice
Tennessee Titans WR A.J. Brown (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Sunday, Aug. 30.

Eagles | Jalen Reagor to miss a few weeks
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jalen Reagor (shoulder) has a small tear in his labrum and will miss at least Week 1 of the regular season, according to a source. He will not need surgery to repair the injury and his status for Week 2 is uncertain.
Footballguys view: Reagor won't be startable until we see him on the field without any reinjury for one week, so probably not until Week 4 at the earliest. It doesn't affect his fantasy stock that much since he was mostly being drafted on upside, but it does give DeSean Jackson, Zach Ertz, and Dallas Goedert more room to make an early impact, and opens the door for JJ Arcega-Whiteside redemption.
    Link to story

49ers | George Kittle sits again
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) did not participate in practice Sunday, Aug. 30.
Footballguys view: Kittle is a warrior, playing through a torn labrum for over a year, but we'll watch this to see if it threatens his availability or effectiveness for Week 1, with Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel also questionable at best. The 49ers passing game could be very limited against Arizona in the opener. Chances are this is just precautionary, but we want to see practice participation leading into Week 1 to confirm that.
    Link to story
    George Kittle player page

Bills | Zack Moss limited Sunday
Buffalo Bills RB Zack Moss (neck) wore a non-contact jersey during practice Sunday, Aug. 30.
Footballguys view: It's good that Moss was out there on the field, but neck issues can be tricky, so if this keeps him on the injury report or resurfaces during the season, it could be problematic. Don't throw away your Devin Singletary shares yet, but keep Moss on your undervalued player list.
    Link to story

Bills | No practice for Stefon Diggs
Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs (back) did not participate in practice Sunday, Aug. 30.
Footballguys view: This is probably a minor issue, but if Diggs misses any time, the values of John Brown and Cole Beasley change significantly, so if this comes up again during the season, we'll remember that it was a pre-existing problem.

Falcons | Todd Gurley wows in scrimmage
Atlanta Falcons RB Todd Gurley was impressive during the scrimmage Friday, Aug. 28, according to head coach Dan Quinn. 'The speed was the thing,' Quinn said. 'He out-ran the leverage on one play. On another one, he got to the edge and made a big play. I felt his speed for certain.'

Bengals | A.J. Green still working alone
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) continues to do individual drills at practice.
Footballguys view: Green has been working off to the side for some time now. The team just doesn't want to aggravate his injury before Week 1. He should be out there ready to go in the season opener.

Saints | Alvin Kamara plans to practice Wednesday
Updating an ongoing story, New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara intends to practice Wednesday, Sept. 2. He missed several days after receiving an epidural shot in his back Thursday, Aug. 27.

Saints | New Orleans open to Alvin Kamara trade
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara could potentially be traded if the two sides are unable to come to an agreement on a long-term contract, according to Jeff Duncan of The Athletic. Duncan says the Saints would be seeking a first-round pick in return.

    Seahawks | Chris Carson self-declared 100 percent
Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (hip) said Tuesday, Sept. 1, he's 100 percent recovered from the fractured hip that ended his 2019 season.
Footballguys view: That's great...now he needs to stay that way. Carson can dish out a beating and he can take a lot of punishment as the lead back for Seattle. He's a power back with little nuance to his game, but he does get banged up too often. Carson is the starter for Seattle but they could mix in some Carlos Hyde to keep him fresh. Currently, Carson has an ADP of RB16 (3.02) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Bengals | Joe Mixon contract details
Updating a previous story, Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon's four-year, $48-million contract extension includes a $10 million signing bonus and $1.3 million in base salary in 2020. He'll earn $8 million in base salary in 2021 and 2022, $9.4 million in 2023 and has a team option for $9.6 million in 2024.
Footballguys view: Mixon is paid and will lead the way for the Bengals offense. They'll use him as the battering ram and centerpiece of what they do offensively while rookie QB Joe Burrow gets experience at the pro level. Fantasy GMs are taking Mixon off the board at RB11 (2.01) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Panthers | Ian Thomas could miss time
Carolina Panthers TE Ian Thomas (toe) suffered a toe injury Monday, Aug. 31. X-rays returned negative and head coach Matt Rhule said Thomas would be back 'soon.'
Footballguys view: The team has Thomas as their lead tight end, so this is a concerning situation with the regular season opener less than two weeks away. Thomas is on a roster with a ton of pass-catching talent, so Fantasy GMs should consider him more of a low-end TE2 this season.
    Link to story

    Raiders | Tyrell Williams update
Updating a previous story, Las Vegas Raiders WR Tyrell Williams (shoulder) will undergo surgery for a torn labrum later this month and will be sidelined for six months, according to a source Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Footballguys view: Williams has been banged up each of the last two years with the Raiders. He'll miss the 2020 season even though he wanted to try and play through this injury. The Raiders move forward with a young trio of wide receivers at the top of the depth chart including Henry Ruggs, Hunter Renfrow and Bryan Edwards.
    Link to story
    Tyrell Williams player page

NFL | Leonard Fournette clears waivers
Updating a previous story, free-agent RB Leonard Fournette (Jaguars) officially cleared waivers Tuesday, Sept. 1, and is now a free agent.
Footballguys view: Fournette should get some interest now that he's on the open market. No team was willing to touch his salary and that's why nobody picked him up via waivers or traded a late-round pick for him when the Jaguars were trying to shop him. We could see him with a new team before the end of the week.
    Link to story
    Leonard Fournette player page

Rams | Darrell Henderson not ready to practice
Los Angeles Rams RB Darrell Henderson (hamstring) wasn't a participant in practice Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Footballguys view: Henderson needs to get healthy to find his way into the RBBC. Cam Akers, rookie second-round pick from Florida State, is set to be the Rams lead back. Henderson will compete with Malcolm Brown to establish a pecking order behind Akers this season.
    Link to story
    Darrell Henderson player page

Rams | Cooper Kupp still not practicing
Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (leg) didn't participate in practice Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Footballguys view: Keep an eye on this situation with the regular season right around the corner. Kupp has a current ADP of WR15 (4.04) in 12-team PPR leagues.
    Link to story
    Cooper Kupp player page

Football Team | Antonio Gibson primed for big role?
Washington Football Team RB Antonio Gibson may not have a clear immediate role with the team, but The Washington Post's Sam Fortier believes he will have 'a prominent one' if training camp was any indication.'We have a plan for him. That's a part of the secret we're trying to keep going into the regular season. But Antonio's a very versatile young man, a solid football player,' head coach Ron Rivera said.
Footballguys view: Gibson was one of the most versatile running backs in the 2020 NFL draft. He can work well as a runner or receiver out of the backfield, plus he can line up in the slot and run routes. Washington's backfield is jam-packed with guys like Adrian Peterson and Bryce Love, so it will be interesting to see what Gibson can do in what could end up being a RBBC.
    Link to story

Panthers | D.J. Moore getting it done in camp
Carolina Panthers WR D.J. Moore has been one of the standouts on offense during training camp, according to Jonathan Alexander of the Charlotte Observer. Per Alexander, Moore's route-running has been efficient and the bulk of cornerbacks he has faced 'have struggled to contain him.'
Footballguys view: The Panthers 2020 outlook under new offensive coordinator Joe Brady, is going to feature a dynamic passing game that features three or four receivers in it's base offense. Moore was targeted 135 times last season and emerged as one of the league's best up and coming young talents.
    Link to story
    D.J. Moore player page

Panthers | Teddy Bridgewater showing well in camp
Carolina Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater has been 'an accurate passer' on short- and medium-range passes throughout camp, according to Jonathan Alexander of the Charlotte Observer. Per Alexander, while Bridgewater's passes haven't necessarily traveled 50-plus yards, he has consistently connected with his receivers when he has thrown a deep ball.
Footballguys view: Bridgewater is familiar with offensive coordinator, Joe Brady's offense from his time with the Saints. He's a smart and accurate quarterback with a good collection of talent around him. Bridgewater should play like a QB2 with upside for Fantasy GMs in 2020.
    Link to story
    Teddy Bridgewater player page

Rams | LA Rams not a suitor for Leonard Fournette
Free-agent RB Leonard Fournette (Jaguars) is not of interest to the Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Sean McVay.
Footballguys view: Fournette is interested in playing for the Rams but apparently the feeling is not mutual. The veteran back has cleared waivers and should find a new team before the end of the week.

    Eagles | Miles Sanders day-to-day
Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hamstring) was listed as day-to-day by head coach Doug Pederson during his media session Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Footballguys view: The injury is not seen as that severe, so most expect him ready for Week 1 of the regular season. Sanders is going off the board at RB10 (1.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

    Friday Update

Football Team | Antonio Gibson impressing coach
Washington Football Team RB Antonio Gibson on Friday, Sept. 4, topped the list of players head coach Ron Rivera said he felt 'excited' about, helping lead to the release of former starter Adrian Peterson. 'It's not about what he didn't do,' Rivera said Friday of Peterson. 'It's about what these other guys were doing for us and allows us to go in the direction we feel good about.'

'I am ready for whatever happens,' Chubb said in a Zoom media interview. 'I am ready for the team. ... We do have a lot of playmakers on the field. Hopefully we can utilize everyone the right way and make teams have to choose one or another. That will definitely help us out.'

Bengals | A.J. Green makes an appearance
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) took part in the team's 'situational seminar' Thursday, Sept. 3, going through what amounted to pregame warmups, in the opinion of beat writer Geoff Hobson.
Footballguys view: Green has been working off to the side in Bengals practice for some time now. They're ramping him up with the regular season about a week away. Fantasy GMs see Green as a WR3 with upside but the injury risk has some looking in another direction.
    Link to story
    A.J. Green player page

Rams | Cooper Kupp back at work
Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (leg) went full speed at practice Thursday, Sept. 3. Head coach Sean McVay told reporters afterward that Kupp 'feels great' and that he was never concerned about the receiver's availability for the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
Footballguys view: McVay commented how Kupp is just dealing with ankle soreness. With Week 1 next week, Kupp should be participating in practice and may not even be on the injury report by the time the game rolls around.

    Cooper Kupp player page

Buccaneers | Ronald Jones has starter's job
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones has the team's starting job out of the backfield and would 'have to screw it up' to lose it, according to head coach Bruce Arians Thursday, Sept. 3. 'I don't see that happening,' Arians added.
Footballguys view: Arians insists that Jones is the starter and newly acquired Leonard Fournette is a really good veteran insurance policy. Jones will be the starter at the beginning of the season but if he falters then the team could quickly turn to Fournette when the veteran is up to speed in the offense. Some in the fantasy community have called this a 'Patriots 2.0' backfield...so proceed accordingly.

    Titans | Stephen Gostkowski terms
Updating a previous story, free-agent PK Stephen Gostkowski (Patriots) signed a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans Thursday, Sept. 3. The deal is worth $2.75 million with a max value of $3.25 million

Patriots | Mo Sanu officially released
New England Patriots WR Mohamed Sanu was officially waived Thursday, Sept. 3.
Footballguys view: Sanu is now free to sign with another team. He failed to impress during his brief time with the Patriots last year and couldn't even make the team this year. No matter where he lands, Sanu won't be in line to produce much.

Texans | Deshaun Watson working on new contract
Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson is working hard with the team on a new contract extension, according to sources Thursday, Sept. 3.
Footballguys view: The Texans have a real franchise quarterback and they know they'll have to pay him like one in the near future. The contract is expected to be more similar to those of Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson and Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers than to Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes.

Chargers | Keenan Allen snares contract extension
Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen on Saturday, Sept. 5, agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension worth $80 million, per his agent.
Footballguys view: Allen is now the second-highest paid receiver in the league per this report. The Chargers got a good one when they snared Allen in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft. He's a great route runner and a consistent performer for Fantasy GMs (and the Chargers) each season. The team has made keeping Allen a priority as they assemble a team to eventually build around rookie QB Justin Herbert.
