Doncic when things are said and done imo but it’s so hard to compare past generations. Games so different these days. Players like LeBron are such specimens. Nutrition, weight training , supplements etc

And, much softer rules around the basket. That is major, too.
It was brutal when Magic & and Bird, Chamberlain played.
They talk about it a lot on Youtube.

Bird took the Celts from 29 wins before he arrived to 61 his rookie year.

    Biggest team turnaround ever

Larry Bird averaged at least 20 PPG, 10 RPG & 5 APG in 5 separate seasons, which is the most in NBA history.

Actually the 2006-07 Celtics have that record now. 24-66 wins.

I'm sure Lebron has way more 25-7-7 seasons than anyone else.

    Laugh your ass off....hmmmm.

If you don`t appreciate LB as a basketball player, it just makes me wonder buddy if you are simply trolling.
Of all the greats of my lifetime ( Magic, MJ, Kobe, Hakeem, et al) Larry Joe had far and away the most horrific career injury profile.
Over his last 3+ seasons, after each game, he had to go to the hospital and have traction therapy on his back. Kept it out of the papers and under the radar. Imagine any of todays players going through that just to be able to get out of bed the next morning?
LeBron would be posting on insta with a hang nail.

I do believe Luca could have a better career. Kid is 21 and has balls of steel. Unreal skills. I bet he improves every year.
Larry also only got to play 13 seasons, 7 or 8 healthy. So huge advantage to Luca there.

Bird also averaged nearly 30pts in a few seasons when he stepped up his offense. 30 then would equal 40 today.

The fact this conversation exists given the fact that he is only 21 years old should show that he has the potential of being top 5 or top 3 greatest of all time.

it hard to me to compare, bird play in a great time for the nba, today game is very different and i cant stand watching street ball, but that what we have in today nba, they want pt and pt, the defense has been taken out of the game, just like the nfl, they wants a tons of pts to keep you watching

Danny Ainge was a HOFer? Robert Parish never did much til Bird got there. DJ was clutch, but couldn't shoot.

Lets see if Doncic gets some rings. He's awesome

Bird fought Dr. J, Moses Malone, and Bill Laimbeer. Bird is from French Lick which is in the poorest county in Indiana....nothing but meth labs now. His Dad committed suicide.

Bird wasn't just a superstar, he was an enforcer, and tough guy. He brought a sense of fight and toughness to the Celtics that can't be measured by stats.

Doncic needs 2 rings to even be in this discussion. Period
