If the Lakers lose in the first round it really hurts James legacy

I mean I think they’re going to win but I don’t know it could be a battle but this is a massive blow if they lose in the first round with Anthony Davis who may be is a bit overrated and soft

Then it's all on him, after all this is the team he wanted. Veterans that can win now were all his call. Rondo, McGee, Howard, waiters, etc.

They even got rid of Luke Walton as the head coach bc of LeBron. Not to mention that magic walked as well bc of the lack of young talent development as part of the reason.

No excuses if Lakers don't win it all. This is lebrons team and what he wanted from the front office to the bench

Bradley not being there is a factor.

Let's be honest though Anthony Davis is not a guy you want to go to battle with

Better be careful. Lillard going off could easily win Blazers 3 more games.

Btw LeBron not the best makes too many clutch mistakes

lebron is not a scorer first. he likes to pass and facilitate. he needs someone he can feed for guaranteed points. that is why wade was good for him as was irving. bosh and love helped too.

davis does help but in this match up they are missing that someone that can go off for 30. james had an awesome triple double last night but the points were lacking.

bradley is a big loss as is rondo not playing.

    Truest shit I’ve ever heard.

I also think they are way too focused on political statements. We get it man... put your money where your mouth is and move on. Half those guys don’t even know the facts.

Davis is soft doesn’t play close to the basket enough where his real talent is, the players James recruits are hasbins

Let’s face it almost every game whoever Portland plays Damian Lillard is the best basketball player on the court

Too much talent on other teams , faster , younger and want it more. The NBA is in good hands now. James will never win another championship.

    What legacy????

An overrated cry baby, gag artist, race baiting hate crime hoaxer, who was gifted 2 of his championships by Popp and Kerr, in a league with zero talent, depth or intensity????

That will always be his "legacy"

No, his legacy will always be the worlds most overexposed athlete.
It's worse than Tiger, Tiger could be 12 strokes off the lead in the second round of some minor golf tournament struggling to make the cut and ESPN will still lead with Tiger Woods on Sports Center.
    James is worse.

Mike Trout could very well be the greatest baseball player of this or any other generation and he gets zero exposure.

Yes James is going to the Hall of Fame but to lump him in with the all time greats like Chamberlain, Russell, etc. etc. is ludicrous.

The issue with Trout his stats do not equate to winning

Angels would be same without him..same amount of wins maybe better

Its one game. Too early for this talk. Last night was game one, not an elimination game. Blazers are going to be a tough out for any team if defense is optional.

Vogel playing KCP significant minutes is really a critical error. That guy is a huge liability. Put Kuz in the starting lineup and attack. At this point if you need instant O off the bench play Waiters.

Youre just hating. Like him or not James is one of the greatest, if not greatest basketball player ever. Lebron has taken several different teams to the NBA Finals for the last decade and a half. Some of those teams, were the worst. He took them from worst to first. Then when he left they immediately went back to worse. That one Cavs team that played the Spurs, had guys that wouldn’t get selected in a pick up game at the ymca. This LA team is garbage. It’s basically Lebron and AD and AD is soft as cotton.

I blame LBJ and his win NOW demands on every team he’s played for. It’s put those clubs in perilous situations where they can’t build properly. Then he leaves them high and dry for the next beauty queen. LBJ isn’t a take over the game guy like MJ or Kobe but he’s one of the best facilitators and tries to put his team in the best position to win. I have him and MJ, 1a and 1b as the best ever. Anything less and you’re probably not being honest with yourself.

I thought the Lakers looked really good on defense for the most part last night. The problem was they weren't getting any separation on the scoreboard because the offense couldn't hit a jumpshot to save their lives. I mean when you hold a team like Portland to just 100 points, that's a win in the modern era. But the Lakers went 5 of 32 from downtown... Their defense is the only reason they didn't get run out of the gym.

Portland coach made a great move going big with Whiteside and Nurkic to counter Davis and Howard. The Lakers are poor shooting from the outside, so the move took away all their extra rebounds and points in the paint. If the game is going to be decided on which team shoots better from outside, I’m taking Portland most nights.

I think at this point he cares about his brand more than being a player. Move to LA puts him in a better spot for Hollywood and other business ventures. He'll never pass Mike, so at this point he is sticking around to get all time scoring and play in the league with his son, likely on the same team.

Let's call it what it is. A Black sport that is losing popularity on a yearly basis. To rate James 1b along with Michael is just pure insanity. James plays in a much softer league than Jordan did.

    a) Not hating.
I call them as I see them.
I maintain he's one of the smartest basketball players I've seen play on the court.
James and Bird in my opinion had the highest basketball IQ's I've ever seen.

I also maintain James is a first ballot Hall of Famer.

Now having said that James couldn't hold a candle to Jordan.
Just compare the two playoff careers.

Also what category exactly has James ever led the NBA in besides games played and minutes played for which by the way I give him props for for his conditioning and work ethic.

    Where's the hate?
Because I don't think he's a top five all time player and I think he's overexposed?

James is past his prime. Blazers are a dangerous team with Nurkic and Collins back. Basically same team as last year, maybe even better
