    I expect Padres to try hard on ESPN to show people there are a contender.

    However, their closer is out. He pitched b2b2 days. Their hottest hitter is not in the line up, Hosmer. I’m not sure how long the starter will go and not sure he is actually healthy.

    As for Weaver I’m not a huge fan. Never know what you will get with him.

    So it’s a pass for me.
