    -35.5 units last year in mlb, injuries and variance hurt late in the year.


    I like the Yankees, risking 2.62 units to win 2.

    Cole and Scherzer both have been elite for a while but Cole is much younger and that should be in advantage early in the year with a shortened preseason.

    Nats improved the bullpen but didn’t replace Rendon and teams now will focus and scout Soto much more. Soto was also away from the team for 2 weeks before returning a week before this game.

    The Yankees starting lineup is much stronger than the Nats with Rendon gone and Stanton healthy for the Yankees. The backend of the Yankees lineups is far better, Nats are relying on Eaton, Turner, and Soto, Yankees have a backend of the lineup that could be a the top of the lineup for many teams. Scherzer is 35, Yankees should have a pitching and lineup advantage.

    The Yankees will barely have to travel and there won’t be any fans so I don’t see a home field advantage.

    I know some books changed it to 8.5 innings recently. I have bets at 5Dimes and Heritage on Yankees ML. Would my bets win if this game got cancelled?

    You have to check that’s books specific rules but I would think you’ll be fine. Most books go by official mlb rules for moneyline wagers requiring 5 innings completed.

    All full game bets are official after 8½ innings if the home team is ahead, or after 9 full innings if the visiting team is ahead. This includes moneyline, total runs (over/under) and Run Line bets.

    This is the rule for bookmaker. RIP for all the yankees bettor, myself included.
