“You look at a chest X-ray and say, ‘My God, this guy should be dead!’ And you talk to them, and they say, ‘No I feel fine. I’m not that bad,’ and they’re relatively asymptomatic,” said emergency medicine Dr. Frank Lovecchio.

Now, a study out of the Scripps Research Institute in San Diego backs up what Dr. Lovecchio is seeing first hand. The study found that on the Diamond Princess cruise ship earlier this year where there was a COVID outbreak, more than half of the 76 asymptomatic people infected on board now show significant lung abnormalities that weren't immediately apparent.

I think everyone agrees that progression can be slowed, however, what's the point if there's no vaccine?

The virus isn't going to disappear or go away, that's evident...so it's got to run thru the population....unless we are to believe it's plausible to live in our homes with no interaction with others and no economic activity for years to come.

Yeah, I'm gonna need some follow up proof that the disease is progressing in this manner. It may in fact be true but for now I will withhold judgement and still be in the camp of show me the numbers. We haven't even hit 1 million dead yet in the world so this is still small potatoes when it comes to a global pandemic. Simply put it is still a plandemic. cases are up yes - nevada is testing 4x as many a day compared to during peak - but deaths way are down. the daily avg of cases went up approx 340 to 420 and weekly death from approx 18 to 27. Unless i botched the #s how did this become doomsday again?

And two articles i read said specialists in italy and israel claim its very weak virus now. USA article complete opposite. Im not expert but can it weaken in one country and mutate in another?

They are so quick to blame it on the masks u would think people are running wild every touching eachother rolling around. Red flag in my book its been dead as ever even after reopening.

Where was all of this insight when 100's of 1000's of people were shoulder to shoulder rioting and looting the first few weeks of June.

I heard nutty Liberals say that it was ok to ignore the rules for the virus since the rioting was for a good cause.
