Kershaw legacy officially set in stone

    No coming back from this.

Dodgers season over. Blown by Kershaw. Outdueled by a 22 year old pitcher.

Dodgers will do the same thing as the Yankees did when Mattingly retired. Won games and titles unconsciously after their all time great star ⭐️ retires. Just cant get over the hump with him.

In a must win game all he gave the Dodgers was 5 innings. Gave up 3 runs (maybe 4 depending on the runner on 2nd).

Just another disgrace of a performance in a big spot.

Roberts should have been fired 3 seasons ago. This Dodgers offense deserves some of the blame though they got completely shut down by Wilson whom they should have knocked around and then gotten more off the overworked Atlanta bullpen. It was only a matter of time before the dam broke against a tired Kershaw so I think I'd put this one on the Dodgers offense and Dave Roberts inability to manage in another big postseason game.

Old school Baseball being played by the Braves. Working counts and waiting till pitches are deep in the box and slapping it wherever they like with LEVEL swings.
Dodgers just trying to go yard on every swing. The Youngster was just walking they innings averaging about 10 pitches a inning

That is why kershaw delayed his start to the 4th game so he only had to pitch 1 game in series

Clayton Kershaw's 4.31 career ERA is the worst in MLB history among pitchers with over 100 playoff innings

He reminds me of Felix Hernandez mariners held him so long even when his arm was out while Felix never pitched the playoffs he was so great but just went to shit and they would still sell tickets showcasing Felix night it becomes a gimmick sad

Happens alot with the best pitchers. Team's offense takes night off figuring they will only need 1 or 2 runs to win. If he was pitching with a lead all the time his ERA in the playoffs would be a run lower. I know the Padres got what 3 off him with a lead but they still won is the point.

Serously though, he had 5 good innings with no run support.

Kershaw ERA's is a straight trajectory as he goes forward...

    Regular season 2.43
Wild card rd and division series 3.68
    Champ series 4.84
    World Series 5.40

He's got a lot of innings under his belt in the playoffs but of any starter with a minumum 20 innings he has the worst ERA from the 6th inning on at 7.31.

I wonder how pulling him after 5 innings could have changed history.

They kept him in too long almost all managers do this even in postseason you can tell most times when a player is starting to wane before real disaster happens that is why I liked Girardi he usually didn’t wait for the obvious to happen

Yea, it's crazy to expect a pitcher you pay 35 million a year to get past the 5th inning in the playoffs without getting rocked EVERY time

Current generation brainwashed by the analytics crowd that a starter just needs to go 3 innings.

Funny how no one dared to pull verlander.

They wouldn't even take the first step out of the dugout with Clemens or Nolan Ryan.

    Not even worth trying

I think we have Tampa to blame for that.

What is the point of having great numbers in the regular season when you suck in the post season?

Kershaw isn't even top 5 all time Doyer pitcher any longer.
