    I meant 28 to 30

And yes, we had to add the stickers ourselves.

Back in my day we weren't lazy little bastards. We had to work for our shit.

If it was completely random, it would take an estimated 95 tries to complete a 26 team set, or 108 tries to complete a 28 team set. Even without any artificial rarities, taking a long time to complete a set would still be noticeable.

Did your school use to have the ball/game shed out on the black top? Back in the day they use to always have those old school wooden pencil boxes that cost a 25c

No the market went down of course dramatically once it got over populated

but I liked to collect certain players so just tried to get as many as I could

then they started with the grading

it’s been over 20 years since I bought anything

My Peyton Manning rookie card collection is prob the most valuable

    Got everyone

man I used to even play magic when I a kid

and I made money off Pokémon cards

i was hustling anything I could lol

but no I don’t have any helmets anymore

and couldn’t even guess where they went

The good thing is that I had friends that also collected these helmets, so we could trade each other our doubles.

I doubt Rudy had any friends to trade with so no doubt he spent a lot more money than me to complete a set.

Used to get these at Dairy Queen in the 80's.
Also used to get QuikTrip Kansas City Chiefs football cards around the same time.

I remember that, but I never bought the set.

That was like a slap in the face.

And no fun. It was way more fun to put the set together one by one.

I did the same thing with sports cards, even though sets were available for purchase, I would still buy packs and build the sets myself.

Def the only way to do it, i would never go in a shop and buy a set already completed. Card business has changed so much.

I didn't really collect these, Go to a Reds game could get a Reds one and whoever the opposing team was.
