Did you know states are not counting nursing home COVID 19 deaths/cases?

    PA for instance.......
Gov.Says there are 4,218 deaths total in PA when in fact there are 9,036
total deaths after you add the nursing home resident deaths 2,896
    +1,922
total nursing home employee deaths =4,818 uncounted PA deaths .........
Numbers below do not include 1,922 nursing home employee deaths
meaning the actual numbers are even worse
If every state is doing this there would be a prorated 59,113
more deaths than the real time total of 86,098 bringing the
    total US deaths to 145,211.........

PA total case counts are actually 74,235 after you add
the Resident cases 12,677and Employee cases 1,922...

Prorate this into the US Total cases 1,441,055 and the actual
number of total cases rises to 1,793,827

I was under the assumption they were counting them which is why the age of coronovirus death was so high.

Not true in Tennessee. Misleading title. You say "states" but only supply Pennsylvania.

    Has this been fact checked?

Unaware of the real death total.
    What about random deaths of
folks dying at home from coronavirus/ non-coronavirus?

Without testing how would any number be factual?

Health officials announced Thursday just over half of all COVID-19 deaths in Los Angeles County were residents living in "institutional settings," including nursing facilities.

Almost LB and thanks for making me recheck my numbers as it's even worse
as I somehow forgot to count the Nursing home employee deaths!

Only 4,218 deaths are counted in PA

1,922 of the uncounted deaths in PA are nursing homes employees and they are definitely
nowhere near senior status but they were infected in a nursing home or brought it in and I'd bet on
the latter though but technically you're almost right..

2,896 deaths are PA nursing home residents........

    2,896 + 1,922 = 4,818‬ total uncounted nursing home deaths!

    4,818 uncounted deaths + 4,218 counted deaths = 9,036 total PA death count!Not7,114

2,896 ÷ 9,036 = 32% of total PA deaths are Nursing home residents......

1,922 ÷ 9,036 = 21.3% of total PA deaths are Nursing home employees.....

4,818‬ ÷ 9,036 = 53% of total PA deaths are from Nursing homes.........

53% of total PA deaths are not counted......

Now I gotta correct and edit the OP.......

PA nursing home deaths are included in the 4k. They make up almost 70% of PA's deaths.

In the la times they specifically spell out the number and percentage of cases and deaths in SNF and AL.

What they are having a hard time doing is splitting up the prison/jail cases. Inmates are trying to get each other sick and the cases are exploding in the jails and prisons. It's counting against the County numbers when it should be carved out. See Santa Barbara county.

Again, those deaths are included. The site is breaking them out. Pauly, you need help bud.

    Quote from May 12:
Of the more than 3,800 Pennsylvanians who have died of the coronavirus, more than two-thirds were residents of nursing or personal-care homes, according to Pennsylvania Department of Health data

Exactly you have 4,294 deaths they are not counted in nursing homes.......

In the OP the PA GOVERNMENT says there are4,218 deaths
when in fact there are7,114 deaths when you add nursing home deaths.......
Go ahead and add the death total on the County Case Counts to Date
    death section of chart.......

I'll bet you $100,000 there are exactly 4,218 deaths in that chart....

Here is the cases by county Chart.....

On the right of county total cases and deaths I've inserted the nursing home
cases and deaths color coded red.....

Lycoming county bombshells any theory/belief of the state counting
nursing home deaths as the nursing home deaths are 8 and
the county's recorded deaths are 7.......

Cumberland county does as well 36/37

Lightbulbs are on state case/death numbers that are ludacris
to believe the nursing home deaths are actually counted
    toward state recorded totals........

PA includes nursing home deaths and cases in their data

they just haven't been giving the specifics on which nursing homes and how many at each nursing home. They recently announced they would make those added details public.

Pennsylvania’s long-term care facilities, especially skilled nursing homes, are being hard-hit by COVID-19. As of Wednesday, 2,705 residents of nursing and personal care facilities had died — two-thirds of the state’s COVID-19 death toll.

Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said Wednesday that 14,214 people have come down with COVID-19 at 543 facilities in 44 counties. About 1,800 employees of the facilities have tested positive.

Pennsylvania has about 700 nursing homes and about 1,200 personal care or similar facilities.

So far, the state has released the number of cases and deaths per county without naming facilities. State officials said they withheld more specific information to protect medical privacy.
