Will Today be the long Awaited PEAK?

After today do we start going downhill permanately on Corona deaths?

every time I see that light at the end of the tunnel getting closer, it seems we take some steps back.

According to this website it says new cases peaked in US on April 4th (34,403) and deaths peaked April 15th (2,618).
The cummulative numbers continue to climb but the daily case/death rate is lower since these dates.

The likelihood of another spike still exists as states "open up".

today will be higher than 2618 deaths, and those deaths included an incredibly high bullshit number from New York, adding in old deaths.

Its tough to know what numbers to believe.
There is so much error in the measurements, its frustrating.

More people that had it already have the anti bodies built up.. That will make the decline start faster. Everyone should just get it already..

Everyone in California including myself probably already had it and don't even know it..

USA is such a large country. If this is the peak, then it will probably plateau for a long time as certain cities get better but others get worse

What would really help is to shut down interstate travel but that just doesn't seem feasible

Think it depends on the state/region..
If certain areas drop the restrictions while other areas peak, I think with travel there will be another wave and so on and so on, etc.,etc..

    It's a virus... Never ending..

Why is Cuomo and DeBlasio not being crucified for their handling of this? NY is a disaster. Rest of the country is doing alright. Don't give me the BS that they're stacked on top of eachother because so is SF and although I don't like him, Newsom doing a good job.

How are the testing rates going there? Are they increasing finally? That’s what we keep hearing here... enough people aren’t being tested and are demanding to go outside anyway so the number of those infected isn’t easing.

We have ANZAC day on Saturday so I’ll be curious to see if people continue to stay home here. Feel so sorry for veterans, many of whom this will be their last one obviously with or without this virus.

Once they open up, tens of thousands of "seniors" will get it and die.

However, the politicians seem to have realized that the economic impact of protecting these elderly people is too high.

Or test positive and be slapped in the face with the realisation that maybe it’s not worth it to go sneak around places you shouldn’t be when it’s truly safer to just stay home as much as it sucks shit. That way you can get better and not infect loved ones and/or strangers because now you know you have it.

    Works both ways Horseshoe

You won't know when the peak is because of very limited testing. They are only testing people with severe symptoms that probably have a 50% chance of surviving. You need to start testing everyone, even asymptomatic people to get a magintude of the infections and correctly estimate the peak.

I agree, but how do you test without the equipment.
That is were most countries are abysmal. The US has tested 1.2% of the population.

    Israel has tested 2.6%.

If you feel good you won't ever get tested. Why would you?

I know I'll never get tested unless I'm coughing and can't breath, lost taste and smell and on my last leg and go to the ER. I still might not go to the ER and get tested and treated.. I'm stubborn like that.. I think I'd rather die..

I agree with JJ in his above post.. Testing is Overrated..

You get it you either beat it or you die. Just that simple.

Everyone should wear masks and keep social distancing in play to try and not to get it though, be responsible for now!!!..

I think we should Restore the economy and sports to full operating strength now I say!!!! If you want to stay home and isolate because you are afraid you might get Corona then that should be your choice not everyone elses!

Have you never had a physical? Blood test for a variety of reason.
It is called health care, not sick care. Catch something early and you're good to go.
Let's throw out mammograms, PSA's, colonoscopies etc..
Phuck 'em all, let them just get it and die, why see if intervention could make things better.

    Testing is over rated??? Unbelievable!

im pretty sure theres plenty more thats uncounted here and still rising and not in decline. Many people die in their homes, in the poor communities and elders that aren't tested and counted in the numbers.

No haven't seen a doctor in 20 years.. I feel great today.. I take care of myself physically.. I don't go to the doctor and don't need to. I take my own blood pressure that's my only concern.. I'm good today, riding a little high still but I'm good.. I work out and eat right daily.. I feel good at 52 years of age.. I slipped this winter a bit but back on the horse..

I'm all about natural living.. God gave us a time span to live and we die when it's time naturally.. I don't wanna live on meds.. That's artificial crap.. My time is my time on this earth.. I'm not afraid to die either.. I don't want to though..

I'm happy for your health and also jealous, keep up your routine.
Why do you take your blood pressure??? Isn't that a test for a possible future heath event?
Ergo, you do believe in testing for unseen eventualities. That is a good thing.
Don't throw testing under the bus because it is in the way of how you want things to transpire!
    Stay safe!

I’m from ny but live in LA now. I think both Newsom and Cuomo are doing great jobs. Comparing nyc to San Fran is not a fair barometer. San Fran is not even close to nyc. NYC has 8 million ppl on top of each other with millions of others commuting to and from whether it’s Long Island, Jersey, westchester, Connecticut etc. you don’t have a freakin clue. NYC hospitals were doomed from the start. The virus spread like wild fire before ppl had a clue.
