Bottom of the first some countries realized that coronavirus was throwing some mean and nasty stuff and got bigger bats(shut downs). Top of the second coronavirus shut down all economies. Bottom of the 2nd inning some countries(US)actually finally started taking coronavirus seriously............too late. Top of the third coronavirus has a 10+ run lead, mercy rule is in play.

Definitely true. But no matter how you look at it... I don't see how anyone could think we are in the 7th or 8th inning. I don't see any possible way of this thing being anywhere near more than half over already. I think 3rd inning is even extremely optimistic. Time will tell. I hope this thread ages poorly and all the 7th and 8th inning predictions are correct. But... I definitely would not bet on that.

For me, it's dependent on what one means by "game is over". Not one person left with the China virus? Never. All businesses allowed to be open? Fifth inning, I suppose? Businesses allowed to be open but with all sorts of restrictions? People regaining all the freedoms we had in early March? Nobody walking around without a mask, whether by choice or by government mandate? What exactly do you mean by "over", meaning what would you consider the third out of the 9th inning?
