    Anyone want to visit Nicaragua?

    It's open for business.

There's beaches and babes (prostitution legal).

It's cheap, beach hotels $20/ night. Round trip from Ft Lauderdale $171.

Looking at May 3-12....San Juan Del Sur

    Anyone else?

They haven’t seen their president in over a month. Lil sketchy. Costa Rica has been like Sparta at its borders holding off thousands of Nicaraguans with 300 men. No thanks. Tamarindo, Costa Rica is heaven under normal circumstances, why goto a dangerous shiat hole like Nicaragua when you can relax and surf while feeling safe in Rica

My uncle lived there for around 10 years until about a year ago. He moved back to the US because of the political unrest.

The irony in this statement is incredible considering what type of countries have the most deaths.

Been there over 20 times. Place is great. Cheap. Still $20 will get you a room steps away from the ocean. Safe, wifi and ac. If you like rum, Flora de Cana is some of the world's best. The 7 year old is my fav.

If you go, DM me and I will tell you how to catch the cheap taxi from Rivas to SJDR costing you $3 rather than $30 to $40

Happy hour, $1 local beer (very good) and $1 rum and coke. $1 appetizers like this fish carpaccio.

several restaurants right on the beach.

all those boats in the bay bring in fresh seafood all day long

Can't get in. Airports are closed, except for a repatriation flight back to the States on Monday, April 20th. They did one last week as well.

San Juan del Sur is nothing to worry about. If you wanna grab a room steps away from the beach for like $20, guarded, free wifi, AC, clean and walk around town, eat and drink, jump in the ocean, etc you wont have a care in the world. Now if you wanna go to a club and get some blow, hook up with a Tinder girls, find and after party till 4am then your can find trouble I guess. If you are drunk and singing in the streets at 3am, you might find some trouble. I can't give you my experience for what will happen.

Like anywhere really. But if ya wanna be back at the hotel at a reasonable time, get up early and take a exertion guided bus thing with some surfers to a local beach for $10 or so and surf or hang out or hike for a few hours then that's more my cup of tea. They have little shack at these beaches where you can eat or get a fruit smoothie or have some drinks and meet people from all the world. Lots of Americans, Canadians, Ozzies etc. In town, there is trivia night at Republika bar on Tuesdays I believe. Winner gets a bottle of rum. Stuff like that. Its a surfers town. Kinda laid back and much more quite that it used to be a few years ago when the government ****** shit up.

I would definitely recommend going there. Lots of nice people. If you need a safe, nice place to relax and enjoy great scenery, great food and drinks, then this place is fantastic.

I don't know what the travel restrictions are , if any, right now but for that price if you can go, it will be amazing. I think I have been there close to 30 times. Last time was 18 months ago and it was dead compared to before the government crack down. So much much quieter than usual.

Like any country accurately reports their deaths. Do you believe that places like China, Saudi, N. Korea accurately report their murders? Cause I know I sure as hell don't. Those places lie about everything so why would they tell the truth about their number of murders, for example? Even in places like the U.S. police and coroners lie about the cause of death. So there's really no hardcore accuracy to any figures out there. How would it benefit any country to accurately report their number of deaths or murders? I can't think of any good reason. It hurts business investment and tourism dollars.

its fresh fish, onions, parmesan, jalapeno, olive oil. You can also get a fish taco or chicken wings or veggie wrap for $1.

Never experienced anything that was remotely close to dangerous in SJDS.

That's right he was a top pick. I forgot about that

Modano is now in the front office for the Wild. I'm not sure what his title or role is but I'm sure he will do well.

There was nothing like those old North Stars games at the Met in Bloomington.
