adam silver is delusional, I just listened to his interview. The idea that you could play soon and test players before every game is ridiculous, peoplr who are asymptomatic wont test positive but can still spread the disease, amd if the test fails or the test kit breaks they cant play, I do not see this season restarting.

NBA Season Possibly In Jeopardy After Events In China Despite Mark Cuban’s Optimism

SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA - JUNE 24: Dallas Mavericks CEO Mark Cuban attends the 2019 NBA Awards ... [+]
GETTY IMAGES FOR TURNER SPORTSThere’s still not an official timetable for when the NBA could begin playing games again. The league shut down its season on March 11 due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19 after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the disease. Even with continued uncertainty, some are hopeful that the season will resume.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is one such person. Speaking with me in an interview last week, he said he hopes that games will begin sooner rather than later, albeit without fans in attendance at first.
“Even if we have to put people in hazmat suits and hose them down and disinfect them before playing, I think the NBA will do whatever we can, once all the experts say it's okay to play in front of no fans first because we need sports,” Cuban said. “And just being able to play in front of no fans and just streaming it and putting it on a television I think would be huge.”

Cuban’s optimism isn’t universal and a lot has changed in the week since. Friday, the Chinese Basketball Association, under orders from the General Administration of Sport, announced that it is indefinitely delaying the resumption of its season. The league suspended play in January as China dealt with its coronavirus outbreak. How the CBA handled restarting was seen as a “test case” for how the NBA could proceed with its own restart, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. The CBA extended its hiatus due to concerns about asymptomatic carriers,
Now, the NBA may not have a path forward. The league and the National Basketball Players Association are currently discussing the possibility of shutting the current season down for good.

Chinese Basketball Association delays restart until May

The Chinese Basketball Association has delayed their return to play until May. The CBA had previously said they would return to play in mid-April. That announcement came after an initial planned restart in early-April.
The continued delays have foreign-born players, including over 20 from the United States, wondering if the league will resume playing at all this year. One player agent told NBC Sports “American players in China are starting to realize the league may not start. We will likely see American players leaving China very soon.”
The CBA caused a stir earlier this month when they summoned players back to China. Players were to resume practicing in mid-March ahead the league’s planned restart. Many players were unsure if it was safe to travel back to China after the coronavirus outbreak. With COVID-19 spreading across the United States, players were also leery of leaving their families again.
China has become a top destination for US-born players, including many former NBA players. The salaries are high and the schedule is relatively light compared to European leagues. The CBA season also typically ends in mid to late-March. That early end date gives players a chance to return to the NBA before the end of its season.
Prominent former NBA players signed to contracts with CBA teams include Lance Stephenson, Jeremy Lin, Ty Lawson, Shabazz Muhammad and Brandon Bass.
Eyes around the basketball world were on the CBA and their return to play. Many leagues, including the NBA, viewed the CBA as a test-case for how quickly they could also get back up and running. This delay only furthers worries on when, and if, the NBA will be able to save what’s left of the 2019-20 season.

What's promising is Taiwan is doing really well in spite of not enforcing a lockdown. Matter of fact I think they're the only nation that currently has their pro basketball league running. So once nations get their cases down and start behaving like like them (masks etc) we can have pro sports back.
