No. 4 San Diego State begins its final stretch of the regular season on Sunday at Boise State.
The Aztecs (25-0, 14-0 Mountain West) visit Boise State (17-9, 9-5).
In an 83-65 loss at San Diego State on Jan. 11, Boise State committed 18 turnovers to the Aztecs' nine. The Broncos shot 60.7 percent from 2-point range, but their 6-of-20 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc, compared to 9-of-19 for San Diego State, was a difference-maker.
The only real chance SDSU has of losing a regular season game is this one against Boise St. and the Nevada game to end the season. Both spreads will be around -8.
SDSU has not had any recent let downs recently and a "let down" would have to occur combined with the opponent playing better than usual. It can happen but I'd have a hard time betting for this to occur. SDSU has won by 23, 15, 12, & 28 pts recently.
The last game SDSU had that was close to a let-down was on Jan 26th when they beat UNLV by only 4. According to KP data, in their last 10 games, there has been only one, 1 minute period of time in which their likelihod of winning the game dropped below 50%. That was against Utah St near the start of the 2nd half (and only for 1 minute). Otherwise they've been mainly 68% or better of winning as each game has progressed.
I think they will go undefeated and cover the two games that are ~ 8 pt spreads.
