    I could see it

    if Lebron is healthy I think he still has a little juice left

    I know I know many of you will say they are not even the best team in their own arena

    I think if Kobe was still alive they would not care about winning the title, in fact, they would not be capable. Now that he has passed away, they will certainly be able to devise a game plan to stop Leonard.

    Yeah I don't know, clips of Lebron crying trophy in hand saying they did it for The Mamba seem way too obvious, so many bets will be placed from the sentimentalists.

    I do have a future on them from awhile back but I'm a firm believer that NBA is rigged so you fade the public.

    I changed my mind on this. This surpasses the usual NBA fix/fade the public angle. This is about marketing. This is about healing.

    LeBron crying saying he did it for Kobe, his daughter and LA?

    That's what 99% of the sports world and so many outside of it want/need.

    You have the big two but Rondo is also a proven winner who finishes.

    I disagree. It's calming down now but this is gonna be the first time the Lakers have a contending team since Kobe, there's no way interviewers, commentators, etc. aren't gonna find any excuse to bring him up when the playoffs come around. It will be planted in the players' heads for sure, and that's assuming Lebron doesn't make some statement himself about winning it for Kobe, which I wouldn't be surprised if he did

    That's the west. The Bucks? I don't even follow basketball much so I have no clue. I know the Lakers are going to be favored to win it. Chalk doesn't lose all that much in the NBA. NFL....yes. NBA.....no. Last year doesn't really count because Golden State was banged up bad walking into that finals.

    Yeah, my initial snap thought was every team wants to win it, but seen it before there is a snug place for this kind of sentimentality in the NBA. Like when James got the Cavs a ring. No way it should have happened, but what would it do to the NBA if the best player at the time couldn't deliver his team a championship? It would be anti-climatic at best! NBA is king on sentimentality.

    Still prefer the Clippers but injuries can tip the scales just enough.
