50 players per tournament. 6-point entry fee for Non-Pros,

Terms and Conditions

1. Must be an SBR Pro by May 22nd to receive Poker Championship Password.
2. Participants limited to one account per household. Players who operate multiple accounts or are otherwise restricted from the forum during the qualification period may lose their eligibility at the discretion of SBR.

3. In the event that there are ties for the 25th spot, tiebreaker will be # of Cashes. If still tied, the earlier SBR Forum Join Date.
4. Player may participate in one Daily Qualifier Tournament per day. No shows will be ejected after 15 minutes.

Interesting! But a few things which are confusing. You say the Top 100 advance to the Championship on May 30? But then you say:

If Top 100 qualify, why would there be the need for a tiebreaker for 25th??

But generally I would say it's a good format, spread out reasonably evenly. My only suggestion would probably be not to make it Top 100 (instead like Top 50). Given the number of people that play per day for making Top 100, pretty much everyone who plays consistently will probably make it then no? Right now fewer than 100 people play per day (perhaps average of 25-30 per tourney in three tourneys!). Granted it should go up with a promotion, but still seems too easy in that regard for everyone who plays consistently to make it.

Heck, maybe shouldn't say that - after all I've missed these things before when the # of qualifiers was lower so I might be arguing against my own self-interest! But again, just being objective does seem like Top 100 might make it a bit too easy.

Not really possible unless we play hand for hand which we don't. Even then could only happen if two people had exact same stack and went out on same hand - super unlikely that late in tourney. So yeah doubt he meant that.

He basically said they were paying out 1500 for the WSOP seat which is the prize pool for the final. My only complaint would be 100 in the finals should be 50 max, 100 is way too many

Yup this has been suggested many times, but they've said software can't do that. I like it in theory though.

But yes that's same point I was making above about 100 qualifying - means everyone who tries will make it. Top 50 would at least be somewhat restricted.

As I said, two people almost never tie in some single event. If this was based on qualification standings again that would make total sense. But for final event, ties do not occur per say.

I hope the blinds for the final start high. With 100 people in it could take 8 hrs to finish the tournament starting with $10 blinds.

a hard pass meaning you're not going to play any dailies? Here how about this...just act like there's not a 3 month leaderboard, soft pass it and still play in a daily tournament..if and when you crack top 100 though, you basically have to skip the final tournament. I fixed the problem!
