If SF wins, will Jimmy be the worst QB to win a SB?

Seriously SF does everything to NOT give him the ball or let him pass.

    B Johnson
    T Dilfer
    D Williams

    All better qbs

Doug William's was better than Dilfer and Johnson imo. Jimmy G better than all those guys though I think.

He passed for almost 4,000 yards with 27 TD's (tied for 5th in the league) while completing 70% of his passes.

That's very telling about staffs trust level

Top 5 yards after catch, 3rd down conversions, 4k yards with the second best running attack in the league, number one in ranking after a pick, I could on and on.

    Attention-seeking nonsense, obviously.

He must be confusing Garoppolo for Kirk Cousins.

Quarterback legacies always get so distorted in the week leading up to the Super Bowl, but this is among the silliest I've ever heard. Garoppolo has a 21-5 record as a starter and a 100 rating and still has plenty of time left.

Going just by the year the team won, it's probably Manning. Going just by their career up to winning the Super Bowl, may as well be Roethlisberger as a rookie. Going by their entire career, probably Dilfer. Garoppolo is clearly ahead of all three.

No. I block out painful memories. That was one of the worst Super Bowls I have ever seen. So glad this year should be polar opposite.

It wasn't about trust. It was about the Vikings and Packers being completely unable to stop the run. Garoppolo was throwing on the first few drives a couple weeks ago. Then they were up 17-0, then 27-0, and no one in the world would have stopped running at that point.

Also, you're wrong, he is averaging over 10 passes per game in the post season.

It isn't telling at all. It's a shallow look that ignores the fact that the Niners have dominated their playoff games.

Absolutely dominated every aspect of the playoff games.

Here's Garoppolo's yards in each game during the regular season...

The list starts and ends with Brad Johnson.
Namath has to be up there too.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Super Joe Namath the personality, but as career QB extremely overrated.
I was in diapers when he was calling plays under center, but my dad’s generation say he really wasn’t that good.

Not the worst by a long shot. But unlike Mahomes with the Chiefs, Jimmy G isn't the reason why the 49ers made it to the big game.

exactly, that’s been my point all along sf is so good at every position that jimmy almost becomes an afterthought. for the most part he just needed to not mess up opposed to needing to go out and win games for them

Here's the thing with Porno Star Jimmy G's 49ers they use the run to set up the pass and since they were extremely successful this season with the run game they don't need Garoppolo to heave the home run ball on 3rd and 8 as often as most teams.
Jimmy usually finds himself in many 3rd and 2 or 3rd and 3 type situations where he can do that RPO thing and utilize Kittle or shove the pigskin in Mostert's gut again,

The 49er's if you think about have three ordinary (at best) running backs with Coleman, Brieda, and Mostert.
If Coleman was so good why did the Falcon's let him go?

Mostert, the pride of Purdue? Let's see, he was drafted by the Browns, got cut by Cleveland, went to the Ravens where they cut his ass too, Dolphins, played one game there got cut. The 49er's picked him up played a game there too same thing, got cut, went to the Bears, they then decided they didn't want him either then the 49er's gave him a second chance.

What the 49er's do when they run the ball is use a lot of motion as to keep the opposing defenses on their toes and confuse them.
Misdirection stuff, and they are good at it.
To stop the run KC defense has to remain balanced on both sides of the ball, don't react to all that funny motion stuff and as Captain Cheeseburger Bill Belichick would say "Just do your job".

If the KC defense can slow down the run and put Porno Star Jimmy in third and seven situations then let's see what he's got, but the coaches have designed a run game for him so he doesn't have to like I said before heave the home run 40 yard pass.

Even if he lays a turd tomorrow and KC wins he won't go down as the worst even if they win and he has an off game he won't go down as the worst.

OK fellas your pal Nasher is going to give you what I think is the best prop bet out there.
Will Garoppolo throw an interception? Put 50 bucks on YES
    You can thank me later..

Fats, did you watch Trent Dilfer? Otherwise just look at his stats (particularly completion % and TD-INT ratio) from his SB season and compare to Jimmy G's for a laugh. It's not close
