Keep in mind Brett Favre is 50 years old and has zero head coaching experience.
AP - Just when you thought things couldn't get any weirder than the peter pics Brett sent Jets sports reporter Jenn Sterger in 2011, reports surfacing out of the University of Southern Mississippi, where Favre spent his collegiate career as the quarterback for the Golden Eagles, issued late Tuesday evening, indicate that Favre, through a mutual agreement with his lawyer, Amos Lyons, and Sterger, his accuser, has settled upon an agreement that could possibly land him a head coaching job as soon as Friday of this week at a major Power 5 conference school.
The legal ramifications of a job venture at this stage in the game points to none other than Sterger's ex-fiancee, and professional hockey player for the San Jose Sharks, Wally Pitchner, and his connections to the B1G conference and board of regents therein. It has been long debated as to whether or not this is in direct violation of NCAA rules regarding "truant application" but Lyons has stated that the paperwork has passed through the committee's hands without a single veto, indicating that Brett Favre is a full go in the application process.
Committee chairperson, Craig Romans, is already an outspoken advocate of such a move while Brett Favre's two daughters, Brittany Favre, 21, and Breleigh Favre, 23 remain adamant that their father has no plans to move forward with such a venture and is happy with his current life on the farm, not to mention his palatial 350 acre country estate in Dormund, IN purchased last year for an estimated $4.8 million.
Brett Favre could not be reached for comment at the time of this release but a 30 minute press conference is rumored to be scheduled for 3:20 EST Thursday afternoon.
