    Nhl now vs 30 years ago

    Stars in nhl dont make a difference. Looks at blues last year compared to boston and tampa. Hof playwmers dont make you win. Way way overrated...for allxl the great ovechkin has done..its not enough to win.

    Blues last year nobody over 30 goals..isles the same...STARS dont win by themselves.

    Blues had a very deep and talented team. You could argue taresenko a star. Ryan O’Rielly was a huge addition they wouldn’t have won without. Their strength was the fact very few teams could match up w their 3rd and 4th lines, and goaltender of course which the main reason most teams win a cup.

    Disagree on goalie. They all are exceptional...bigger pads n gloves then old days. Pitts won the cup 3 years ago with the backup goalie, tge starter was hurt in pre game skate.
