next opponent top 10, you are top 25 yourself.........

57.6% win ATS on 138 games since and including 2013.......... i didn't adjust the years at all. to me, 2013 isn't too far back (irrelevent) nor too recent (small sample)...

i'm guessing purdue and rutgers don't "look ahead" but maybe they do, i'm not sure

anyway, i hear this so much after the fact, and it's easily quanitifiable

yeah, I’m sure it happens in other sports too but it seems more often in football. I can recall getting out to slow starts in HS basketball but talent usually won out in the end. Our team never really got beat by teams that were inferior. There’s something about football and having to wait a week where you have time to think, prepare. Time to read your press, God forbid you make the cover of SI. Also where you get bulletin board material.

It happens to top teams who are big faves. Not shitty teams

Texas was in a major letdown spot after losing to OU. No way Kansas takes them to the wire in austin under normal circumstances

Lots of talk on here from so called past "football players"
I agree that teams look ahead but you have to take a look at who they are looking ahead to and Ohio state is on a completely different level then the garbage cheese heads.
And as a side note there is no worse fan base in the entire world then cheese head fans. Bunch of lazy dope smokers with fat sausage fingers.

Wisconsin is consistently a pretender. Their lines only dominate crappy teams. Taylor had 52 yards rushing and Dobbins had 163 and 2TDs. Bucky can go back to Canada with a gaping hole in his rear.

    a pretender????

    they are ranked #13

can’t we just say Ohio State beat the brakes off a damn good football team?

wouldn’t matter if Bama, Clemson, or LSU came into Columbus

    the result would be similar

Wisconsin caught looking ahead to Iowa. We were all wrong. Iowa the real game they were looking to. They'll get em in 2 weeks boys.

Nope. Wisconsin isn’t a damn good football team. Not in 21st Century standards. Their number 1 defense is a fraud but their hype is never bashed. Ohio State always proves why Wisconsin doesn’t belong in the national conversation. Last year when Wisconsin was ranked 4th and Ohio State 5th in the preseason AP poll, that was the ultimate insult. I know polls are garbage but that was a complete slap in the face to Ohio State. Wisconsin shit the bed as usual losing to the Mormons in week 3 and went on to lose 4 more. I’m just completely over Wisconsin representing any kind of threat in the Big Ten. They could lose another two games easily.

so anyone putting all this stock into "looking ahead" and "let down" would've bet on wisconsin this week, and got their shit pushed in... and also bet on purdue this week and got their shit pushed in even further

maybe, just maybe, illinois had gotten much better than the line factored, and wisconsin wasn't as good

yeah i guess how well you block, tackle, run, throw, catch on any given day has less to do with the outcome than what some people think that you have on your mind

confirmation bias at its finest... if wisconsin won today then it would be because they were still thinking about illinois and got pissed off so much they played better, or had some kind of revenge on their minds

Wisconsin has the highest percentage of fat people per capita. I've also heard Milwaukee is quite a segregated city. Lots of racism. Oh yea and the badgers are hot trash. Good riddance cheeseheads.
