I would have to do more work than I’m willing to do right now to give you a real accurate number (what I would make it anyways) but off top of my head I think your -140/-150 seems pretty reasonable. Anything less and pretty sure I’d pound Stros!!

I don’t think yanks beat them but I agree anything close to 2 to 1 and I’d have to play yanks.

Home field is so overrated in baseball and hockey playoffs imo.

Yanks HF advantage is more to do with park dimensions than screaming fans tho.

You might be right, actually sounds right, but one series doesn’t change my opinion/overall feelings on home field being overrated.

I think it the most overrated in hockey playoffs, mlb a close second, nfl and nba it tends to hold more meaning imo.

That said there certainly teams it matters more for, off top of my head cubs are a great example, those bums been horrid on the road all season, had they got into the playoffs HF woulda been much more meaningful.

I’ll also say (as I touched on previously) some teams fields dimensions or other factors give a edge. I’m more referring to home crowds being insignificant. Obviously Rockies and zona hold unique advantages because of altitude/air. Teams who build their roster based off how their parks play give themselves a HF adv most don’t enjoy.

Pitcher has huge edge because they throw wicked fast...plus on top of hitter. Home field matters little

    -200 would be nuts

Paxton and Severino can match up with anybody and the Yankees have the far better bullpen.

    Teams are so even.

My guess is Hou -140, although personally I think Hou -300 or better is a good bet based on the poor performance of teams built similarly to how the Yankees are currently built - lineups reliant on HRs and that strikeout a lot have historically underachieved in October.

However....how did braves with 3 hall of famers lose 8 in a row vs yankees in playoffs. Braves up 2. 0. And lose 4 straight then yankees swept them couple years later. If they play each other..lots of fun

I think players just get used to certain fields and pitchers especially feel more comfortable on their home mound

I don’t think the numbers really support it. They def don’t in hockey and I’m pretty sure baseball right behind them in playoff Hf not meaning a whole lot. I do think goofy places like coors or Bronx w retarded short porch might add little something but in general I think prices often times reflect a advantage that not really there. That why you will so often see me chase the road teams all series.

No away pitchers in LA get scared when they look up and see a sea of blue 4 decks behind home plate
