    North Carolina sports betting

Are the books up and running in the 2 Indian casinos? I am really interested in River Valley casino in Murphy. I am about 2 hours away in Georgia. I am getting conflicting reports. One says late fall opening, another says temporary book maybe. Any NC. People here.

I was in Murphy a couple weeks ago and they haven’t even began building the area where the book is supposed to go.

Thanks preds13. One report said temporary book would be open near the stage. I don't know anything about the layout of the casino. Never been. Excited about having legal sports betting 2 hours away.

Should be 2nd half of football season. Billboards in Asheville advertising "Coming Soon" ... no mobile betting.

It was officially legal July 1 , they don’t seem in no hurry , they are estimating Jan 2020.

Rudy. Tennessee is strange. Mobile betting, no walk in books. Also about a 2 hour drive. I'm sure
I would have to have a Tenn. address to make this work. Thanks.

    i dont think so

you just have to be in the state to bet, not an address

    could be wrong there

It wouldn’t surprise me if both NC casinos have -115 odds , poker at Cherokee rakes 10% per pot up to $7 and offers no bbj or promotions at all , so why wouldn’t they try to do the same with sports betting.

    TN ONLINE BETTING:

    Who can play?

There’s two basic requirements you’ll need to meet if you want to place a bet — you need to be at least 21 and physically present in the state when making a wager.

You are correct , Tennessee is banking on pulling out of state money.

Good read. Wonder how you will fund the account, and collect money. Guess we will find out soon. Georgia probably 3 years away, if it comes at all.

sbr needs to start calling these books to get some sort of deal with them

and like i always say....when you count transfer fees to bitcoin, moving bitcoin, withdrawing bitcoin, etc...its worse to take a slightly better line offshore due to all of these fees

i hope i see sbr moving to ONSHORE books

Rudy the savings offshore is $5 to $25 per $100 offshore vs usa books

Do the math its enormous long term, for small players probably does not matter

Serious players CANNOT PLAY IN USA other than Vegas

I read an article the other day that said the 2 casinos in North Carolina could start taking bets as early as November. The one I read about Tennessee said early next year. They have only appointed 5 of the 9 people for the committee that will approve the sportsbooks.

It's going to take time for casinos across the country to feel comfortable and confident. Many are taking their time to try and do it more efficient while minimizing risk. Others have opened and struggling in ways that aren't comfortable. It will get better and better in time. Solid bookmakers who know the ropes inside and out of these new regulated sports books are not falling off trees. Practice patience because big competitive prices are coming down the road as this grows.

I am still going to make 90percent of my bets offshore. I just like the idea of having a legal sports book close. 2 hour drive for me. 1 time a month maybe. No big deal.

I live on the border of both Ohio and Pa. when WV gambling was down for a bit I would drive 5 minutes away and place mobile bets in PA all the time. My buddy from OH comes and sits in my driveway on Sunday mornings and places his bets.

You can deposit and withdraw from out of state, just can’t place the bet.

Exactly , it’s beautiful country there and I love the drive in the mountains , it’s just nice about once a month to go and hang out all day at the sports book.

Hopefully they’ll make it nice that’s the key to a sports book if you want to go there and relax and watch games
