Does anyone out there use moneybookers. My personal opinion is that they are scum. I'll tell you why. As anyone who reads my posts can tell, i make a lot of typos. And for somereason when i type I often spell "neteller" somehting like "netelelr" And every time I misspell "neteller" i get redirected to moneybookers. And any business that tries to steal traffic in such a fashion is not a business I would want to deal with.

#2I recently opened an account with them as their fees are less than neteller. However i have yet to use them. Seems like a half dozen of one, six of another type situation to me....Comment -

#3I don't think that that is moneybooker's fault, marc.
The netelelr.com domain is registered to a guy in Poland and if you look when you enter the URL, it directs to an affiliated moneybookers link. Presumably some guy in Poland is making affiliate $s by using that forwarding site.Originally posted by pags11SBR would never get rid of me...ever...Originally posted by BuddyBearI'd probably most likely chose Pags to jack off too.Originally posted by curioustaco is not a troll, he is a bubonic plague bacteria.Comment -

#4I have always liked gamerbookers. Marc, you might want to email them about that redirect, as tacomax points out, looks like an affiliate of theirs is the one doing the abuse and they might cut him off.Comment -

#6Yeah, that domain is owned by an affiliate trying to make some cash out of referrals. Nothing to do with Moneybookers.
MB is my favorite and by far the most used net wallet. I can send money from my bank account to MB instantly and fees are very small. I withdraw with bank wire from MB and the money hits my account in 2-3 business days.Comment -

#9I used them (Moneybookers) for the first time last week to transfer just over a US$1,000 of funds sitting passively in a Yabet account. This transaction was very fast.
Now I’m in the process of verifying my ID with them, which is costing me US$45 because I need to wire funds to (I think) Germany in order to become “Verified”. I think (hope) it’ll prove worthwhile. By the way, I signed-up with Moneybookers because I discovered that many, many sportsbooks will transfer (debit and credit) cash for nothing, plus Moneybookers ‘seems’ to have a fairly competitive exchange rate when transferring the ‘greenback’ over to Euro and/or Sterling funded sportsbooks. This is refreshing.
Possibly the only downside I can see to using Moneybookers is that once “Verified” I will still only be able to send a total of US$5,000 during any 90-day period. This is kind of on the low side so if anyone has managed to increase their Moneybookers’ limit significantly, I wonder if you could advise me how I might be able to increase my limit too please?Comment -

#11apparently juuso is our resident moneybookers expert. thanks for the info on what appears to be a quality alternative.
is the redirect really your only problem with them marc, or is it one of many things you dislike about them?Comment -

#15Moneybookers is OK. especially USD/EUR-conversion is at very very reasonable prices (much better then Neteller), which made me use them in the first place. Their system is pretty secure as far as I can tell, and more and more bookmakers are accepting them, still mainly Euro-books up until now.
Only bad thing about them is when something goes wrong reaching them by e-mail is pretty much impossible. Made an upload once, which didn't appear in my account, even after a considerable amount of time. Sending e-mails to their Customer Service is pretty much useless, because they just don't reply (and hardly ever do if I read the Euro-forums), you have to call them and in my case a girl with a very sexy English accent had everything sorted out in a minute. But still.. if you're not gonna answer your e-mail, why put up the adress on the site.Comment -

#18As discussed here Moneybookers is actually cheaper and quicker than Neteller in many books. But if you want to contact them, phone might be the best option. Their customer service is the slowest ever when it comes to mails. Also, I've read several complaints on forums about SLOOOW withdrawals back to bank account. I never tried that, so I wouldn't know. Moneybookers works very very nicely as a middle man between books though.Comment -

#19Well, all the emails i've sent to them have been answered in a day or so. It reads in their policy if the email is about a bank wire cashout, they will be unable to assist until 5 business days have passed since the withdrawal request was made. I've called them maybe twice and got very good service. When i started using MB i had a problem with my first withdrawal which was returned to MB my account in a week. I called them to ask what is the problem. Turned out i should have used IBAN account number and had typed in my info in like i use it in domestic bank transfers. It was sorted out quicky. Also i've withdrawn about 30 times to my bank account from moneybookers and the money has hit my bank account in no more than 2-3 business days.Comment -

#20Thanks for the information Juuso. I sent them an email once when I uploaded money from Nordea Solo to my Moneybookers account and something on moneybookers site was not functioning. When I returned from Solo to mb their site just hang and the money I sent did not appear to my mb account. That mail was never answered, but I did not bother with another mail, since the money appeared on my account the next day.Comment -
