lol, I never did read the article. Kind of got the gist from the thread.

They brought a real one through town a while back, I stumbled across the action. People were taking pictures with it, they said it wasn't a replica, and they had the hype and security to sort of back that up.

I held it but declined to take a picture, they were all shocked. I just wasn't that starstruck...lol.

I think there were ruby's and other jewels on it, if I remember. It was pretty badass now that I think about it.

I think the dollar amount varies, wherever you are but I suppose it's for what the insurance claim goes for.

Factory probably going to be less value than the retailer.

Not really sure though, but that makes sense given how the values are often derived.

I think theft and grand theft really is just a dollar amount threshold like you are saying, and nothing more.
