That doesn’t mean crap . Now that New York and pa have it numbers
will go south for sure . A good portion of that biz came from those states. Not one
person that I know here bets and I know thousands of people. They
are hyping numbers for other reasons .Article should read for every whites person
that moves out 1.5 foreigners move in.

New Jersey's numbers are inflated because New York has been slow to legalize gambling, once NY legalizes they won't be close to Nevada.

Haven't seen the tax that NY will assess, but PA at 35% is screwing themselves. If I'm going to lay down a dime on a game, I will go to jersey to get the -110 as opposed to the -120 number posted in PA. Let it shake out for a couple of years, and I bet that N.J. still has the higher handle every month across the U.S. Nevada is small in terms of players, but they have the big money players in place. The libs in NY and PA will probably tax it too much for a book to offer reasonable plays, and at 8%, NJ has it about right, and as it turns out NJ is a transit state. People always coming or going to NY or Philly needing to drive through the Jersey roads. The big winner will be the tolls on the bridges to get out of jersey. Hell I donated a sh&t load myself last year and will probably do it again this year.

New Jersey is so close to the big bettors of New York, Philly, etc. The mob is making tons of money betting at the books.

Of course, and the states that haven’t acted on it have to really consider all avenues of the %. That is more of an answer on why some states are not jumping into it yet.

NYS is too stupid/corrupt to take advantage of this, and that seemingly will continue for years. Even though it's now "legal" in NYS, it's set up to fail, with nothing anywhere close to NYC, and no online or app presence throughout the state for years.

PointsBet has specifically referenced the tax as a reason they're unlikely to enter PA market.

NY levies an 8.5% tax on land-based wagering. I believe the guys in the state assembly pushing the mobile side are offering an 8.75% tax on mobile with an additional 2% payout to the leagues. So effectively 10.75% on mobile. Not PA, not NJ. I think that's low enough hesitant operators like PointsBet would come in, though. PA is outrageous. It will really stifle their options.

We already know this about NJ and Vegas. It will probably never go back.

Might come down to the fact that there are just so many more people, and now they don't need to trickle the bets to Vegas.

    It is what it is.

I was born in NJ, Coach knows Jersey too.
NJ is a split state, industry in the north by the Hudson River (Newark, Jersey City area) and agriculture, farming etc. in the southwest.
There's trash in NJ, plenty of it, but there's beau coup money in NJ too, plenty of that also.

Vegas is what is it is, a desert resort town that without the glitter would be just a desert town.
