Jerry Jones is bracing for a Six Week Holdout from Zeke

Latest report is they are expecting a 6 week holdout. Not sure if this what they really feel or they just feeding the media bad info.

Certainly makes the bet on the under for total wins enticing.

That would be incredibly stupid on Dallas part. You know they gonna pay him, be wise to do it before the season. Of course if they really offered him top 2 money and that wasn’t enough he kinda being a bitch about it!!!

While I am pretty much always on players side in these things Zeke better be careful. Dallas 1st few games against cup cakes, they look good without him and all a sudden his bargaining power takes big hit. Maybe he knows they stink without him? Lol

Dallas doesn't pay running backs. They wouldn't even pay Emmit Smith.

At Jerry’s age, you would expect him to pay Zeke to make a run at the Super Bowl. Maybe Stephen has more control now.

You referring to when emmit left? At that point wasn’t any point in paying him. Zeke knows this when his value high. RBs can’t wait till end their rookie deal for that payday, they would never get it!!

They better pay him. One of few RBs who has a huge impact on his teams success.

Emmitt held out the Super Bowl year where they started 0-2. After two losses Emmitt cracked and ended the holdout because he knew they needed him. It was not the Cowboys that caved.

    No.

Emmitt Smith led the league in rushing in 1992, and helped the Cowboys to a Super Bowl victory that season. But he was set to make just $465,000 in 1993, so he held out for a deal that would more closely reflect his level of production. Smith missed the first two games of the regular season, both of which the Cowboys lost. The team finally came through with a deal worth $13.6 million over four years that made Smith (at the time) the highest-paid running back in league history, and Dallas became the first team to lose its first two games and then go on to win a Super Bowl in the same season.

Jerry Jones went so far as to see the positive of Elliott missing games, at least early in the season.
"We've got a marathon here," Jerry Jones said. "We want Zeke when we get to the playoffs. We want Zeke when we're in the dog days of this season. ... A fresh Zeke, if we got to the end, would be great.

lol Jerry Jones might have mental issues??? A fresh Zeke??? Doesn't matter how fresh Zeke is if you can't make the playoffs? Unreal.

Either pay the man by Week 1.... or let him holdout entire year.

How did Jerry become a billionaire??? Was he really smart to begin with?

Yesterday one your personalities was laughing about how it “still August” so no point discussing week 1. Today Dallas is finished cause Zeke not there yet? Long as he gets there to practice next week it be fine.

Or they should pay him what he worth. You seriously telling us the nfl should put in new rules to enable them to not pay guys? You realize this practically only way a rb gets a big deal right? The nfl not big into paying backs after their rookie deal they start questioning the miles on them!!

I think he should be getting paid more by negate that includes situations like his where he performs to this degree his contract is restructured which I wouldnt have a problem if they paid guys according to their performance it would make a lot more sense

As long as so much money not guaranteed and they can cut you without paying shit players have to be able to do this. Owners really got this shit all screwed up where every middling starting qb sets the new high and eats 25% of salary cap.

Team built around Zeke. I just heard they apparently offered him somewhere in 13-15 mil per year range. Maybe not enough guaranteed money or he kinda being a asshole demanding to be highest paid??

If Zeke knows what's good for him he'll take this contract and pay against a good offensive line racking up stats for the next one.

If he doesnt he'll end up in Oakland next year and with a broken everything a year later.

Good Quarterbacks hardest thing 2 find in sports. You can get decent RB out of the draft every dam year.

Incredibly difficult to draft another guy in what 3rd-4th round? Seems like ppl forget how awesome Dallas offense was when Zeke was supended, if you recall Dallas never scored more than like 10 points! It laughable you don’t think they can’t find another serviceable game manager. When teams don’t have to worry bout Zeke dak is nothing special. Put another qb in when teams have to put extra men in box for Zeke and he be just fine.

This narrative that you have to fawn over middling QBs is hilarious. You put a team like Dallas has around 35 guys (qbs) and they could be dak.
