Could break up the Top 36 Qualifying US Players into three teams with a more equal distribution of final standings as follows:

    US Alpha: 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, 34

    US Bravo: 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 32, 35

    US Charlie: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36

The Top 3 Qualifying Players could each go to a separate US Team and the remaining 33 Qualifying Players would be similarly distributed among the three US Teams. This way the talent could be more spread out, making the Team Matches more competitive

To hell with all that separate states location bullshit. Top 36 U.S. players get a spot. Most players are from the USA anyway. SBR can just do a random draw of the 3 “regions” once the final 36 have been decided, or use the leaderboard totals.

Good on SBR to add the additional U.S. region. Players from the USA were really getting screwed in the qualifying portion of this event.

I think they want a certain amount of regional pride which kind of gets hurt if 3 of the teams are just randomly assigned Americans. East vs West etc. makes for more of a rivalry

That being said, I have a feeling the difference between central and east is gonna be super unfair. East coast players specifically might actually end up more screwed than they were in the previous system. Hopefully I'm wrong on that, just guessing based on where it seems like a lot of the players are from

World Cup format has nothing to do with bitcoin, WC prizes aren't even bitcoin.

Fact of the matter, US members butter SBR's bread. International members are expendable.

If you want to be treated with respect & have your store orders processed in a timely manner, get a clue & move to the U.S.

Agreed! Just top 48 overall - no matter the region, quite simple. Then Top 12 a team, next 12 second team etc. And top team gets some type of edge in Finals as reward for being best in qualifying (like a few extra points say)

    As I alluded to above, say Top 48 qualify, 1-12 Team A, 13-24 Team B, 25-36 Team C, and 37-48 Team D.

Then same formatting for Finals just Team A starts with 6 points, Team B with 4 points, Team C with 2, and Team D with 0. Basically give the higher qualifying teams an edge in the Finals to reward them for their stronger qualifying position. That will give them a clear edge but still give all the other teams a real shot still - so a good format imo.

I respectfully disagree Arun. No advantage should be given to the top qualifiers nor should the top 12 qualifiers be on the same team. Qualifying should be kept equal and final USA teams should not be stacked against one another.

With the difficulty and frustration of qualifying at SBR Poker. Restructure the final to reflect equal teams all around.

Taking into account the constant shitty play here and the number of ongoing river bad beats, anybody could get lucky and go on a run in either direction.

You just don’t see much strategy in short ass shove fest daily tourneys 6 handed with a 1k stack.

If you’re lucky enough to get in you’re in, should’t matter of you’re 48th or 1st. Cause that’s really what it takes around here, a lot of dumb fuk’in luck.

Fair enough! People can obviously have different opinions on things. I personally have always felt though that the "top" qualifiers should get some advantage in the "Final". Granted that was more when 100 people qualified for the Finals often, and it was fairly easy to qualify for the Final via playing half the tourneys. Felt when some people played every day while others only played enough to ensure qualification, those who put more effort in should be somewhat rewarded for it.

But if it were Top 48, it would still require people to play almost every day in order to make it - much less likely you could make it in by only playing on half the days say. So I agree less needed in such a system. But still, rewarding the top qualifiers still certainly has some merit to it to put a bit more emphasis on the qualifying stage. To me that just makes sense with the qualifying stage being three months long and the actual final only being a week long - assign a bit more importance to the three month stage of it!

Your right on the amount of playing time involved, Arun. You still a have to make serious commitment to play. I'm open to anything changing it up to make it more exciting. We could do a side pool like in Nascar for the best, say top 5 qualifiers. At least with a 3rd USA team, it gives more opportunity to those players who do play everyday, rather than a weak ass world team where a single cash gets you in.

I would just say this about IP addresses. I use VPN and can make my IP address just about anywhere in the world I want. I can play poker and look like I'm in Missouri tonight and then come back tomorrow night and play from Russia. Doesn't everyone have to give a permanent address when they signed up an account? Can't SBR just base a players region off that alone to solve the VPN/international travel problem? Just my 2 cents worth on the matter.

Top 36 USA qualifying scores should make a team, period. Then create 3 teams based on where they qualify. Doesn't matter what the 3 USA teams are called, region names aren't necessary.

Team USA - qualifiers ranked 1 thru 12
Team Confederates - qualifiers ranked 13 thru 24
Team Union - qualifiers ranked 25 thru 36
I agree with this, simple and fair to all US players

Which US players are in the West? I am along with I think Jakepeavy21, but I have no idea who the others are! Surely have to be quite a few Californians though, just no idea if any of the other Western States have almost any haha. In any case, whoever is in the West, please speak up, curious who my teammates might end up being (assuming hopefully that I can qualify!).
