I don't think they're going to be as good as everyone thinks.

See, this is why I LOVE NFL betting, you have a majority of people thinking like this and with the exception of 2017, they literally lose year after year after year, with this brain dead "durrr last year team is same as dis year, team durrrrr" mentality.

GT21, please post picks all year for us, you seem like phenomenal fade material!

I think 10-6 is about where the Saints end up. LT Terron Armstead was injured the last 2 months of the season. We didn't have a WR opposite of MT once Ginn went down. Trequan Smith was in consistent and couldn't be counted on. TE Ben Watson was old and no longer as productive. All we had was Kamara and Thomas so it was easy for teams to defend.

This year the offense should be better as long as the offensive line stays healthy.

On defense we will have to see.

Saints are horrible weeks 1 and 2 but I think they can beat Houston at home. They should beat the Rams in a revenge game but Seattle has always given us fits so I can see a loss there.
This is good info, see you CAN be a fan of a team and give an unbiased opinion (GT take notes). I lean Rams in the revenge game, simply because everyone has been telling LA they didn't deserve to win that NFC title game and didn't belong in the Super Bowl (both true, IMO). Should be a good one either way, and I don't plan on betting it at 2.5 since there's not much value at that number.

    I see Saints there Lakeshow.

Somebody owes them something. Maybe you're right, maybe it was the kick on the way out, we'll see.

I bit the other way, I took them to win it all at +1400 and then some at +1200.

Not afraid to hedge here, but they have all the pieces to get far, they are solid all around. A playoff style team.

There are plenty reasons for that. His weenie arm is still better than 80% of the arms in the NFL. He will have more weapons down the stretch this year. Defense can't key in Thomas and Kamara. They will have to deal with Cook, udfa Emmanuel Butler, Ginn, Kirkwood and a few other WRs. Also there won't be a drop-off with Latavius Murray. New rookie center might have butterflies to start but so far he is performing admirably.

This team doesn't rely on Brees throwing bombs anymore. Screens, slants, seams, and rushing attacks.

The defense is the key to the season. The offense is always good.

I do plan to bet Houston week 1 with the pts. 7.5 is too many. Then week 2 I'll take the Saints ML over the Rams. Also when the Saints play Tampa week 5, the spread is 10.5. I'll take Tampa and the ML. I've seen this exact game and point spread play out twice already. Tampa wins.

    Good luck

Breed's arm strength is an issue at times and losing Unger could be a big issue, armstead is always hurt, Ingram gone means kamara will have to carry a bigger load. The saints off enaive line is he key and it looks like they will take a step back.

Unger was getting long in the tooth and it showed last year. The rookie will have growing pains but warford and peat will help him out until he gets going which from all reports won't be long. He was the No. 2 ranked center in the draft and he is playing like it.

Armstead stays injured but he is healthy. If he plays all year, big if, the offensive line won't take a step back.

Latavius Murray will spell Kamara and keep him fresh.

I serious doubt Brees and his "arm strength" is the reason they don't make it.

    But time will tell.

I dunno, I thought he really fell off toward the end of last year. I’ve never fukkin liked that guy tho so I might be biased! Lol.

Nfc south notorious for flipping on its head from one season to the next. Falcons had horrendous luck w bad injuries to every level of their defense last year, i think it their division this season.

I think they have enough for 1 final Sb push this season. Beyond that doubtful as this will be it for Brees/Payton combo.

He averaged as many TD's as INT's the last 4 games of the regular season that he played and only cracked 100 QB rating 1 time. He averaged over 33 attempts those games. That's either fading or an injury. I like to say weenie arm so I am gonna go with that.

I like Brees - he's a good dude, but I don't think that he can roll out every year and average 40 attempts a game on a reconstructed shoulder. At some point he will start to fail. I'm guessing this is the year that we see a major drop off.

    Maybe not! We'll see.
