What about this big time news from Las Vegas? Worlds Largest Sportsbook in 2020

Who has a reliable opinion on this future big money making operation?
And JJ, did you already vacate Las Vegas?

    Okay, thanks Sweetie.
The Point: Looking for information and opinions?
I have been gone for about 4 months, and the primary reason is; members like you who display little class, and meanwhile, would rather add insults rather than add any worthwhile opinion or just a simple post.
I feel I did get off light with your response, though. Whoopee.

California more worried about Illegals getting free health Insurance.

You mean you gave it all you had and the Books beat your brains out?
Are these current LV Books worth my time? I mean, if you win 1200 from a Book, say, in one months time, do they jiggle their lines for you, drop your limits, or simply drop you like a hot-Rock?
I mean any major Book in LV?
Damn, sorry about your bad luck. What did you do wrong to get yourself in that ugly predicament?

I have doubts on that, JJ.

With all the extra costs of Vegas, besides the WSOP it’s losing its appeal honestly.

$30 parking, grab a water bottle from mini bridge minimum $50 fee, $40 per day resort fees, less comps, tighter games including 6:5 everywhere. $20 burgers. Why go anymore? Much better and cheaper options.

Greed, greed and more greed in Vegas. It’s a dying gambling hub imo.

Thanks for some insight. And I sense the very thing you have pointed out.
I was there last year and finding cheap or fair housing for a limited amount of time, was near impossible. They want to double your weekend lodging at so many places. That is not only insane, but a gigantic ripoff. What a terrible disappointment this was and still is. It definitely leaves you will some Vegas sourness on the brain.

I sill find it hard to believe the money they are willing to spend to attempt to bring the big bucks back to Vegas.
It's going to be a complete bust, or the other probability; a lucky hit and still, so much at stake. But how long of a hit before it cools?
That would give me some sleepless nights if I was the owner of Circa.
After all, you're building on Fremont St.?

many things are worse over the last few years, but many things are better (t-mobile arena/golden knights/raiders/new minor league baseball stadium).

the one thing that has turned me off more than anything over the past decade is the aggressive bums begging for money

    OPT, that sounds rather odd?
Are you saying, "most," will restrict any serious players if they ever win a major bet?
Or, personally, for Lil' O' me?

If I ever do hit a major win, of course, I want to come right back and try to win a bigger one the very first chance I get.
So, my winning money goes right back to never see the light of day.
Yes, I know, that's a recipe for disaster, but it does keep your juices flowing for an unpredictable length of time.

I think they're shooting for the mid-twenties college grads, who like to throw money around and live like there is no tomorrow.

    Again, you leave me confused?
Okay, I was only referring to Vegas Books. With those mobile accounts. They are now as defensive as off-shore Books?
Damn, what's the world of sport's gambling coming to?

I guess if those Vegas Books are that stingy with their sporting bucks, I suppose I can do what Fishead has accomplished; play slots til my eyeballs fall from from their sockets.

    * And OPT says "He would not tell me if he knew some inside, personal details?"
That why we have PM's right? Safe and secure/private? Righttttt.

    Well here's the deal...

This guy seems invested in the book experience, which puts him in a group of 1 as no other casino in Vegas cares about the book.

If he 1) rewards sports bettors properly, he will succeed

If he 2) gets a mobile app for NV he will succeed

If he 3) offers lower juice or more options than regular strip casinos, or diversifies sports offered to include tennis and fights, then he will succeed

If he 4) copies Westgate and jacks up his juice and prices and offers poor lines or limited bets...if he does comp good bettors or acknowledge return customers then he will alienate us, like every other Vegas book has over the past decade, and he will fail

If you turn the book into an experience and you get 2000 dudes sitting there spending 5 bucks a beer and 25 bucks a head on food for 12 hours a day it could be very profitable. Think how packed Ceasara or Mirage book is and they arent drinking much and not eating....

Theres a way to make money on peripherals in a book experience

It's funny seeing people say vegas is less appealing. Sure if you are cheap as penetrate. Plenty of shows, restaurants and other things to do which is why the city is doing just fine. If you can't afford the rates just grind out MyVegas and get a few free nights. No book is worried about you winning $1200 either

For the most part, yeah. But Caesars' casinos still hands out free rooms like candy. My last two trips I stayed at Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood comped for five nights each. I didn't come close to gambling the cost of the Caesars room and still have it available for the future.

There are still several big operations that will do well in Vegas even if tourism slows down....Wynn is good all the time as a stock pick and the Caesars Palace Merger make them a good stock pick for Summer IMO
