    Sports book interview Indiana Casino

What kind of questions should a person expect? How does it play out?

    Thanks

tell them why you love the business and about some of your experience

Maybe don't try to wow them too much, might think you're BS-ing them

as for specific questions, those probably depend on the position you're interviewing for

Just started working at a casino myself in the Sportsbook in NY. They're gonna ask you why you picked this industry, you may get drilled on a few questions betting related. 3 minutes into my interview I was asked if I knew what a futures bet was followed by a player prop. Guest service is one of the biggest things. Experience in customer service definitely helps

If you have a passion for the industry like I do you're going to absolutely love it. Work doesn't even feel like work. We just had the grand opening Tuesday

Do you recall if they asked you any questions along those lines?

Asked how often you bet or if you ever had a problem with it for example?

I specifically put it in my resume that I had an interest in the industry. Was never asked if I had a problem with it but discussing a past parlay they knew I bet on a fairly regular basis which wasn't a bad thing. Training classes were basically just refreshers. And I'm not gonna get into specifics with wages but it's definitely not minimum wage , with tips included+ 4 weeks paid vacation before I even finish my first year.

I don't have any criminal history but from what I read online they don't discriminate but it's highly likely you won't get hired if you have one. The only place I can't bet is where I work and I get paid to listen to people talk to me about sports and write tickets. Not sure if it really gets any better than that if you're a huge sports fan.

I think I'll love a gig in the book. I may have to make a decision between a govt position and a casino position. It's not an easy call for me if that plays out.

Is there such a thing as a small bookie. Even 10% of a lot is a lot.
