CC Sabathia Hall of Fame worthy?

Is CC Sabathia a Hall of Famer?
Won the Cy Young Award in 2007, finished in the top five in the Cy Young balloting five times.
    Six time All Star.
Became just the 14th pitcher ever to strike out more than 3000 batters and win more than 250 games. Of the 14 pitchers that achieved those numbers 13 are in Cooperstown.
Led the league in wins twice.
    Solid career WH/IP of 1.25
Carried Milwaukee on their back into the playoffs going 11-2 with a 1.65 ERA.

I lean yes to the Hall of Fame, solid career.

    Yes

With Blyleven and Morris in the 255-285 win range and less prestigious stats CC gets the nod

His numbers put him in the HOF. When that’ll be remains to be seen but he’s going to get in.

Absolutely. Longevity, and always above average. Dominant for a period from 2007-2012. All around good enough career for the Hall. How long it takes for the writer dweebs to let him in, is a whole other question.

Will that other fat pitcher get in too?
Numbers aren't too much better than him.
And Colon smacked a bunch of homers.

He did not "quit on his team", he went into rehab. That can only be seen as a positive, although it will probably be ignored by HOF voters.

Same thing, he couldn't have waited a few weeks? He was pitching his best baseball in years at the time and since. I don't understand how you view this as a positive. He went that long collecting fat checks, wait until playoffs were over, he had 6+ months to rehab.

CC first ballot hall of famer. May be a bit rotund but doesn't need a golf cart to get around in a professional setting ie John Daly. And CC doesn't smoke. Cigs

Are you insane? He obviously felt that it was imperative that he check himself in before he drank himself to death, he would not have done it otherwise. That takes priority over everything else 100% of the time and it is not even debatable. Fact that he did it while pitching his best ball only further emphasizes how desperate he was to seek help, kudos to him for that.
