Not enough balls to keep the two biggest ball hogs of the league happy. This is a disaster.

Paul is close to finished and he can't stay healthy, its a good move for Houston, even if Westbrook doesn't work out they can move his contract much easier than they could move Paul's. Dantoni is a good offensive coach, he'll figure something out.

Terrible for the Rockets Westbrook and Harden are two guys that will probably never win a title but at least they got rid of Chris Paul who is getting older. OKC will be rebuild fast with all the picks they got for George and Westbrook imo.

Paul will likely get traded too, OKC is tanking, I doubt OKC makes this deal if they didn't already have ideas about where they could move Paul. Detroit and Miami still need a point guard.

paul makes more sense in miami. definitely have them respectable and a good fit with jimmy. and miami wins by not getting russ as cp3 is better fit.

There were question marks when Chris Paul joined Harden as well.

Regardless Westbrook makes them better than Paul does

Good move for Houston, Paul and Harden didn't get along and Paul can't stay healthy, Westbrook and Harden are friends, they've played together before. This move forces Westbrook and Harden to not play isolation basketball, which is what both needed to improve on anyways.

WOW!!!! That was big.. Gonna be interesting how Harden and West play together though.. Both like to take over games and control the ball..

Gonna take time for this puzzle to fit.. Someone is gonna have to take a back seat.. Paul George did that with Westbrook pretty much, with James Harden that's not gonna happen..

Agree, plus you can't bring back the same team after you found out it wasn't good enough last year, new players means the team can realistically think the results will be different. There's no reason to think Paul will be able to stay healthy either.

Good point I guess I mean they're in full tank mode knowing that it was never going to work with Westbrook. At least they have a plan but it will take time kind of like Philadelphia and how they eventually made their way back to relevance.

OKC in rebuild mode after Paul George left.. Probably a good move trading Russ now.. They are not making the playoffs now next year even with CP3 Could have a bright future though..

An aging and injury prone Chris Paul the face of the OKC franchise now.. LOL

Harden can do the same things at 2 guard as a pg and be a scorer. russ can be his scottie pippen at the point. let james be the star scorer and russ gets his points, assists and boards

    hard trade to judge............

teams trading tons of picks and then maybe westbrook/harden leave as UFA in the next few years......... as long as the picks are from a time you are almost certainly going to be a good team then it's no biggie.

i agree on only one ball being a problem.......... and westbrook can't shoot.

chris paul probably had negative value in this deal........ wonder if OKC can move CP3 for something else. probably not. CP3 won't be happy

does houston still have eric gordon? that will really help.........

i was of the mind westbrook is slowing down and might not have a large positive trade value (i.e. including his salary) but he did AVERAGE a triple/double last year. and you need to sell tix with marketable players (not an issue in houston, but would have had alot of value for miami)

Exactly, its a good move for Houston because Westbrook's contract has more value than Paul's. Paul's contract is horrible because Paul can't stay healthy and he's undersized. Houston got better with this move and they gave up nothing, 2 late round pick in 5 years is a joke.

The bottom line is Paul's contract was horrible and it will look even worse in a year or two, Westbrook is a much better player than Paul, even if it doesn't work out between Harden and Westbrook Houston can get more for Westbrook's contract than they could get for Paul's.

if they are truly rebuilding they send cp3 to miami and take a cheaper dragic to give miami cap room to afford cp3 and save themselves money from the cp3 contract. and can still trade dragic mid season to save even more cash.

Can Russ or Harden play lock down defense come playoff time though? Both are suspect.. Is this the Warriors mentality just out score the other team and win now?

Hard fit to get a grip on...

Agreed CP3 may be moved again.. Not out of the question now. OKC does need a solid point guard and name to draw fan ticket sales even when rebuilding but CP3 is injury prone.. Could trade again.. Not out of the question as I said..
