A very controversial call here with the STL/NYM game as at the end of the 8th inning, the home team Mets were winning 4-2. St Louis tied the game 4-4 in the top of the ninth and the refs called for a delay which led to the game being finished the next day. The Cards take the lead in top of the 10th and win the game 5-4.
But depending on where you bet the game, you may have won or lost the play. So many books still go by an old rule that Vegas changed, but didn't really change as some of Vegas goes by it as well. The rule is that a delay at this stage of the game, unless it's the home team that comes back or takes a lead (in which case, game over) reverts back to the last completed inning and no game, unless in the playoffs, is continued the next day.
Some books go by the new rule, I ended up profiting from the St. Louis +135, +138, etc., but I lost just as many bets as I won.Following that old rule that has been in place forever, books like bookmaker ruled it a Mets win because of what I said in the first sentence of this post...the Mets were winning 4-2 at the end of 8, which was the last completed inning that night.
It's bullshit, and you know I am always take the tough route when tracking so what is basically a win for the Fund, I will have to mark a push for tracking.
Here's the KVB MLB Contrarian Fund after Thursday, through 303 plays...
