    Guy with the 100k blues cup ticket

    He bet 400 to win tbe cup when they were last place. Coupke days ago when up 3 games to 2. Said he wouldn't hedge. Becasue he felt his blues would win in 6. Was offered 75k for the ticket. Now he may lose. Very dumb

    Or may win in 7; very smart... Hindsight is always 20/20... Either he hedges and wins 75k. Or doesn't and wins 100k; still was a monster investment regardless... Especially if he'd backed the Blues since their turnaround in January. Will only seem dumb now until he wins/loses this is hockey; anything can and will happen

    He had a free bet Sunday night and missed out. First time in the whole scenario he had to bet the other side. I told my wife he should have put about 1/3 (30kish) on Boston.

    These guys who hold these huge payoff tickets generally are lucky idiots who prove why sports books are so lucrative. So many have flushed 400 away on last place teams who stayed there. He’s proving he doesn’t know what to do now he’s hoping for best

    Its doesn't have to be 100 or zero, the right move is to hedge most of the bet and if you want to let a little ride let it, no reason to be a pig, 75k return on that bet is fine, if you think Blues win in 6 you can take some of the 75k and bet them.

    How do we even know this dude has enough money to hedge enough to make it matter. He did say that 100k would be life changing. If 100k is life changing the guy ain't well off. Guys who aren't well off typically can't hedge enormous amounts. Maybe someone will back him.
