When A Sportsbook's Live Scoring Is Faster Than ESPN 🙄

I've been watching and testing for a few weeks and 5dimes updated scoring on live betting has consistently been faster than ESPN.com and/or their app.

This isn't news bro. Look at live lines at heritage. I check all the time. Last week at game 5 in Tor I was watching in the stands and it's incredible how they are dead on. App scores are way behind

Even their website espn.com is behind.

That shouldn't be the case for someone with their stature

Heritage live is at least a good 20 seconds or more ahead of watching anything on my directv satellite feed at home.

Live scoring at sportsbooks has to be fast because it's for live betting, it's really that simple.

ESPN is just catered to the regular person that wants to follow scores. Being up to the second isn't necessary for their platform.

Remember live betting platforms are all third-party Platform sports books do not run them

Live betting platforms should get the info much faster than informational sites.. they need it for betting lines..

Has been this way forever. That is why it is impossible to live bet in between timeouts as what you are seeing on scoreboards or tv is significantly behind what is actually going on as to why the live numbers make no sense while watching during a game. Waiting for timeout only way. Also, the limits are like 10 bucks in between timeouts. Yawn.

Eh I would think they want just the opposite and probably why they post a disclaimer like this:

Gamecast scores and plays may not be real-time or accurate. We assume no liability for any discrepancies. Official scoresheets produced at event intervals are used for bet settlement.

So novice. For college bb they are minute behind.
Platform used by sportbooks have people live typing score play by play same second, because in case they are behind or type wrong result, books are exposed. Bet365 have scores faster around 15 second than tennis match live stream.

Follow a baseball game on Bet365. The live score shows a homerun before the teams even come out of their dugouts. It is amazing!

Most sports shown on TV (cable) have just a standard 7 second delay. Satellite obviously much longer. But oftentimes I've found the live betting to be simply using the same feed on TV as it's right in sync with what I see. Some of the eurobookies these days have actual live feeds from some of their live betting events without delays but you need a funded account to view them.

I always wondered where live platforms pull their info from... espn used to have a live box score that was pretty up to date on the score, but it didn't have any box score info.

It's sad really. Yesterday I saw a line change on the blues and I was watching and I told my wife watch they are about to score. When they scored ten seconds later she was like" wow how did you know"

Nearly every game I watch is done by watching the live market.

We've know this for years. It's not even the reported scores on the live platforms, it's the lines and changes themselves that tell you what has just happened, roughly.

espn scoreboard used to be legit but like espn had to cut some cost since it's paying greenburg 5 mil a year so espn scoreboard is a bit slow these days

Bet365 is faster than the TV and any source I can find. I always wondered how they are able to get faster streams than the TV.

Even though I cannot bet with them, I use their website a lot to get a sense of how a bet is doing and updates on scores.
