    Why are there so many bad coaches in the NBA. The league just constantly recycles them. One gets fired, then someone hires that same guy a couple years down the road. I think earlier the Lakers were targeting Vogel, Mike Woodson and Lue. You can make a case that those are some of the worst coaches.

    Well they could have done worse. Vogel actually knows a little about x's and o's at least from a defensive standpoint. Only question is why did Vogel take the job and one that also includes Jason Kidd forcefed onto his staff? Must be desperate.

    None of it matters anyway unless Lakers can get Davis. I think James has already declined

    This isn’t really accurate tho, they offered Lue the job, he just wisely turned it down.

    The Lakers likely never wanted Lue, they low balled him on purpose to get him to turn down the job while still offering him a job to placate Lebron. The offer to Lue wasn't just 3 years he would have had a co-head coach too. Vogel was likely who Buss wanted all along since he's the one Phil Jackson who Buss consults constantly with thought was the better head coach.
