Dont get me wrong, Ive been offshore for like 12 years now........and I like the ease of betting, live betting, options, etc. I will continue to play offshore, but to have an out 15 minutes from my house is pretty freaking nice, especially if I'm making a bigger play like Papertrail mentioned above. But the runarounds in the last year or so with slowpaying, verifications, etc is becoming a royal pain in the a$$.

It might take a few years, but I'm afraid offshore will be eventually be on life support.

It will take more than a couple years, Pennsylvania, New York, California, don't even have online gambling, the legal process is slow and its not nationally organized.

    more choices is always better

hopefully everywhere gets legal sportsbooks, with mobile, and allows tons of competition where legal sportsbooks will offer some rewards programs/bonuses

If Pinnacle had agents that you could meet up with in person (even if they required post up) in the USA then it would be a no-brainer.

    Only then.

the site gets paid by sportsbooks, so in the gray area of course the path of least resistance is siding with a sponsor

long-term posters and people on the reasonable side are going to get more respect and be treated better than book bashers

i'm 90% on the book side because 95% of the poster complaints are from thieves and scammers... if you found out all the details of some of the posters that ended up getting made whole, you would side with the books too

Not many people have talked about Iowa I can understand not to many do. But sports betting here has passed the house and senate and is now awaiting the Governor who is Kim Reynolds a republican, for her signature. It has not arrived on her desk yet. She stated that she will not sign it till she looks it over. That was 3 days ago nothing since.

jeez i'm gonna be surrounded by states allowing sports betting!

wisconsin is terrible, wouldn't even allow a hard rock casino in the milwaukee area, so we have a whopping 1 casino in milwaukee, 1 in green bay, and 1 decent one in wisconsin dells

the 3 major metropolitan areas have a combined 3 casinos, (and madison is only bingo slots) what a joke

legal books cannot compete with offshore books post up or credit

very little costs so they can offer juicy promos and much lower juice all around

I about 3 months I will have access to at least 5 books online PA and will not even use other than free signup promos

Not true.. I quoted his facts.. He said I posted totally incorrect busllshit. He said he isn’t a shill for books, but sides with them 90% of the time.. Only quote I left out would be that 95% of complaints come from scammers and thieves.. He has zero facts to back that up... That’s why it was left out..

    Yeah righty oh.

You must be a scammer, and an incompetent one, if every book you play at eventually "fcks you".

shilling means getting paid to post positive stuff right?

zero facts to back things up?

how about the recent dispute with heritage, where the poster bet over $7000 when he knew his max bet on soccer was AT MOST $500... then he lied and said he was betting that on other events too... also took a settlement and admitted he was wrong but then still came here looking for more.

i still sided with the player and helped get him paid in full by heritage! while you bash the books i work with them to help players, all the while making enemies because some people just want everyone to side with every player 100% of the time, no questions asked, it's always the books fault right?

so kindly either help someone once in a while, or post something funny or interesting, otherwise you're of no use to the forum or to the human race

Your life is shit, if you judge it by helping gamblers on a online forum. I’ll make a bet Mike. Let’s see who donated more last year... I’ll gladly post my tax returns.. If you donated more I will never post again.. If I donated more you leave? Or are you just posting more incorrect bullshit?

Your avatar also show how decent of man you are.. I’m sure women in your life are really proud of you.

    blah blah blah

i don't care whether you ever post again or not, and i have nothing to prove to anyone, and who could prove a return was actually filed without a transcript anyway ... i would much rather you continue posting, but stop with the name calling and arguing

why else would you be here if it's not to have fun and help people? my avatar is a joke going back a long time to when people thought i had a fetish for avril lavigne and was gonna lock her in my basement lol

hopefully we can get past this, life is too short to argue with someone you don't even know

i like avril quite a bit

if you remember way back, i used to alternate girls/singers as avatars until a couple people got pissed and said where's avril... so i went to avril only which apparently made me a fan boy or stalker

then when avril was mia with lyme disease someone said i kidnapped her, so i found that picture

-115 lines? When the other side is -105, that would make sense. 20 cent line is pretty standard. Obviously there is reduced juice at some books, but Id say the majority are paying -110’offshore regardless

If you look at these casinos in northern indiana in places like Gary, none are going to be very successful if Chicago has casinos in the city, northern Indiana is too close.

I haven't seen this mentioned but the tax on winnings I've heard is about 9.5 percent. So If I lay 110 to win 100 I'm going to win 90.50, seems like I'll either stick offshore or with my bookie

that means the tax THE CASINOS pay on their net winnings

if you cash in a winning sportsbook ticket, there would be no taxes on it just like vegas

Indiana has one of the strongest budgets in the US, Daniels and other governors did a great job, the state has a big surplus, I doubt taxes on gambling will be go up much, the state doesn't even need the money.

Totally disagree. Lake County is the 2nd most populated county in Indiana (roughly 500k). The counties that border Lake Michigan basically are Chicago suburbs, without the high Illinois taxes. The Majestic Star on Lake Mich in Gary got a huge victory and is looking to move to a land based casino off of the Borman Freeway (94). If any would feel it, it’s Four Winds in the Ind/Mich border in Michigan, but they are sold out every weekend also.
