    Talk about a bad beat...bettor loses ~$10,000 USD on WTA QUALIFIER up 6-1, 6-6 TB 3-1

    Pliskova vs McNally. A QUALIFIER match for a spot in the WTA Indian Wells. A QUALIFIER.

    Two relatively unknowns (Pliskova some notice OK). I had been looking at WTA Matchups for the day and liked Pliskova +3...when I looked at Fairlay...someone did too...A LOT.

    A bettor had hit the MAX 0.5 BTC wager on Pliskova FIVE times. 2.50 bitcoin x $3700 = $9250!

    After seeing that I made a small wager on the +3...it covered easily but jeez I feel bad for the "sharp" here. Pliskova had open broke in 3rd set too! McNally wins 1-6 7-6 7-5!

    I see that as an even match at that point actually until you actually win the match its anybody's match in women's tennis there are worse than that every day

    Definitely not the worst beat in WTA for sure but how often do you see $10k on a qualifier match... or a max bet being rebet 5 times.

    oh I didnt click on the link till now fairlay is confusing to me was looking at that site a while back and decided to not sign up. it actually shows how much and who made bets? that guy is a happy camper now but he'll prob ease it back after having his pressure raised like that

    No he was on Pliskova who LOST. He did not win anything. Fairlay in some way is involved with Pinnacle, the lines on Fairlay are in mbtc (1/1000 of a bitcoin worth $3700 right now). He bet 500mbtc, the max, and rebet it 5 times. It was matched by either Fairlay, pinnacle, or an agent of pinnacle. You can get pinnacle lines all the time on Fairlay.

    It does not show WHO bets on an event but shows amounts wagered.

    My guess is the Tennis group at Pinnacle had a very nice day today with this result.

    I had 50 on her...thought it was a great pick until she collapsed...That kid survived around 20 break points and Pliskova could not hit on any of them when it mattered...paid off to give the kid some vital experience...perhaps...a failure of epic proportions...yes...all those squares on Mcnally got really lucky she had no business winning that match

    Well if anybody had watched McNally recently you would realize the odds were at evens or close to for a reason.. Also pliskova is not nearly as good on a slower- medium paced harcourt... the bettor must have been new, which is also sad


    McNally barely lost to Golubic who just won the title on this very court 3 days ago.

    I don't take those really large wagers on Fairlay seriously. It's likely just a book hedging a big bet at their book. I'm not sure how it all works, but Fairlay definitely has some big players making the market, hedging bets, etc. Why wouldn't they.

    That's hardly a bad beat, lose the first set and be down a mini-break in the 2nd set TB and come back and win? Meh. McNally was favored prematch anyway.

    Just the other night Taylor Townsend won the first set 7-6, up 5-4, 40-30 in the 2nd and blew it, losing 7-5 and then 6-2. Much worse.
