    If they were smart they would offer -1500 instead of -50000. That would lockup money at roughly a 1% cost of capital for 6-7 years.

    I was talking about this the other day on futures, they don’t consider time value of money. If books were smart they would want people to keep their money “invested” so books could invest that money elsewhere and make greater returns. Instead of 10%+ house edges on futures, offering a smaller edge to incentivize long term bets.

    I don't think anyone actually bets the favourite in these type of bets. They are trying to get money on the +2500.

    In my opinion that's not an attractive figure at all given how low the limits likely are.

    Exactly. I wonder how well it works. Casinos and even brick and mortar sports books can put up the ridiculous and people passing through get baited. I wonder what kind handle Pinny will eventually have on these.
