The amount doesn’t matter, if you bet one dollar a game tons of games you have a gambling problem on a daily basis.

85% of us are compulsive gamblers here

    We bet to lose

    Not true.

I bet just about every day, it is all about bankroll management. I bet 2.5% of bank 99% of the time, will occasionally drop to 2% for college basketball Saturdays.

Be humble for a second though please...you might not be a compulsive gambler but you’re definitely addicted. Just like many people are addicted to golf, sports, hiking, etc. addiction is only negative if u make it. I don’t think you could quit cold turkey from sports betting LT. that’s the point JJ is trying to make

The difference though is that gambling is my second highest source of income, so it is like a part-time job for me.

Of course I have had losing years too, but RIGHT NOW (i.e., over the pas year), it is my second highest income source. And I have always looked at it like a jobinvestment, win or lose.

Great respect for you LT it’s clear you understand what it takes to be profitable in this but devils advocate for a second...if you’re as big of a long term winner as you claim, why are you still able to make majority of your bets at Heritage, a rec book known to limit? They showed me the door after I went on an insane month in mlb for 12k 2-3 yrs ago.

Nothing to do with "claims", I keep transparent records in all my threads for the entire world to see, so it is a documented fact that I have had more winning years than losing ones.

But more to your point, nothing wrong with keeping bet size at 1K or less to avoid the ban hammer. Whenever my total bankroll across all books exceeds 40K, I just withdraw to bring roll back to 40K, ergo 2.5% would be 1K. And it also helps that I was friendly with Ganchrow when he first joined Heritage.

Ah so instead of affiliate kickbacks they instead agreed to not kick you 😂

1k is decent unit size. Nice chunk of change there.

It’s funny, my work experience is in renewable energy financing which involves modeling huge initial cash outflows, predictions for energy generation and contract inflows over 20-30yrs along with debt leverage and tax equity. It’s complicated but I understand it. Creating a model though for sports, haven’t imagined how you’d do it.

I’m guessing you spit in box scores and when you match up teams it spits out predicted scores. No idea how you’d determine all that though.

Correlation and points for different stats I’m guessing.

I said IF total roll gets to 40K. I am under that now after NHL 2017-18 kicked my ass and I had horrific CBB start this season, but trending back toward it thank God.

EXTRA games often offer best value because lines are generally not as sharp. Thing is you need at least two books due to low limits.
