What number are you getting it for? That kind of plays a role.

Well, even though the eye test shows they got issues, and they cost me a fortune in past 2 weeks, the numbers say yes. MSU is one of only 3 teams in top 10 in both offensive & defensive efficiency, & with a tougher strength of schedule than Virginia, and much more experience than Duke.

Besides those 3, who else could even actually win it? Zags or Kentucky? Tennessee or UNC could make final four, but I just don’t see them winning it all.

Dom, ever since that Syracuse loss I'm not convinced by these chumps. Won't even take them against Wisconsin tomorrow.

Can’t argue the numbers, that’s all I’m saying. If you wanna say eye test you’re scared cuz of Syracuse, Indiana, Illinois, that’s fine and totally understandable. But you can’t argue those stats I listed.

In the end it all comes down to matchups and coaching adjustments. If your purely a numbers guy, it's hard to see anyone other than Duke or UVA winning it all(Both are top 5 in offensive and defensive efficiency) unless a team like Gonzaga just goes off offensively and puts up huge numbers which they are capable of. In this case both those teams pass the numbers test and the eye test. All it takes is one bad to average game though and your out of the tournament.

The numbers are pretty telling. KenPom goes back to 2002. 16 of the 17 champs have been top 20 in both Offensive and Defensive adjusted efficiency. The only one that wasn’t was the Shabazz Napier Uconn team and they still fell within top 40. Of the 16/17 that were top 20 in both, 12 were actually top 11 in both.

Right now Duke, UVA, MSU fit the bill for top 11 O&D, and when you expand to top 20 we can include teams like Kentucky and Gonzaga (and Va Tech surprisingly but injuries take them off my list).

Best value right now for a futures bet is Marquette at +5000. I put 10$ down to win like 530$. That’s the only one worth even tying a 10$ bill up with.

Izzo- most overrated coach in basketball. All he does during a game is whine and beg for calls. Beilein is much better and is a class guy.

Like Marquette as well as a sleeper pick. For those who dont follow much- Nevada is really long and athletic and with a good draw can make the final 4.

Huge + $ on louisville. Its a far stretch but could make a run. Their odds might drop alot tonight tho bc I think they got a good shot at beating duke outright tonight. Should be a good one

I like Tenn at +1050 and Kansas at +2500. Best values IMO. People sleeping on both teams.

I could see tenn as a final four team, but highly doubt they win it all.

Kansas is interesting, even with the Dok injury and with Vick leaving, it opened up spots for McCormick (the 4th McDonalds All American on the floor) and Agbaji who looks great.

Not many teams. Duke, Gonzaga, UVA, Tenn, Kentucky, MSU. I honestly don’t see any team outside those 6 listed as having a real shot to win 6 in a row in the tournament.

But with Tennessee & Virginia never making a Final Four before, I think if they get to that spot it will feel like a win and they’ll sputter out before winning it all.

So really I got Duke, Zags, UK, MSU as the ones who can really win the ship, and I’m a MSU guy so take that for what it’s worth.

    So... go Zags!

not a lock yet, don’t jinx them. I have them winning it all in all my pools. Good call though, if they stumble next round all the haters will show up.

I knew when the zags blew 6 points in 25 seconds in the first on layins and dunks it was over. THey had done it all tourney but got away with it.

TT really wasn't that impressive but we just let em hang around. Typical bullshit. Sad.
